But... it ain't 1:64 no more. I'd be all over IXOs if I didn't limit myself to 1:64s. I'd also be out of space in my house because I sure as hell ain't hanging more and more cars on the wall. 4 frames and 5 totes are more than enough.
@Cano, btw, good job. Didn't know you were aware of Welly. I was about to buy a V12 Vantage from the same seller but someone beat me to it. Would've made for a nice custom.

I have seen them online before, but like Andy, I'm dead set on the "minicar" scale. Only 1/43 I've recently purchased was the F&F MkI Escort by Greenlight, but while I like the car & fan of the film, it's barely a "meh" for me. I like 1/18's, but they are too big & too costly for me.
This could be really great............. or really bad.Anybody hear about Hot Wheels collaboration with Star Wars?

If it were my box, I'd sell it for that. I bet his reserve was $50k.$40,000+, and it didn't even reach the reserve.

I wonder if contents of that case actually is worth $40,000+, or the case actually still being factory sealed bumps up the value considerably. I wish that old school expert @Cano would chime in on this!

Some finds from today
I found a Quik and Sik small wheel variation, the blue Bimmer with the rollcage (seems like it's the rarer one because all the other ones I see don't have it), the white Cougar, which I finally decided to get, and an interesting variation for the white BMW.
I found that one of the white BMWs had both front seats tilted. Probably nothing too special but cool nonetheless.

I have a few IXOs myself and their quality is pretty damn good for their price. Heck I've picked some of them up for $18. I really really want to get into 1:43, but at the same time I'm extremely afraid of it.
Come on dude, I've posted a looooooot of Wellys over the years in this thread! Some of them even pull-back powered. The wheels alone on that one were dead-giveaways.
There is no way in hell there are 40k+ in that box. It's just hype. The two really rare models in that case, going by what the box says, are the Bye-focal and the Mutt Mobile, followed by the Evil Weevil. Those could reach about 2,500 carded, in perfect condition, and in a good day, woith all the planets aligned lol. We're talking surprising top-dollar price, I'd be alarmed even, if I saw a Bye-Focal reach 2,000 bucks. Maybe a pink one. All others range from more or less to pretty damn common. Heck some of those won't even reach $300 carded.

Just won myself a badass Land Rover. And this came in too:
1997 Target Motorin' Music Set.
It really is a set. 4 cars on a turntable. eBay had one for $30. No one bought that for the longest time, me included. Instead I bought the listing that had just the Cobra on TTP, which I let sit for a couple of years. No one bought it still. So I finally decided to take it. What's cute about this guy is that other than the differently-coloured interior and exhaust pipes, it's got clone recolours:

It says 96 cars inside though. If you combine the value of each individual cars + the fact that you get to open this time capsule of a sealed case, sounds like $40,000 very well could be legit.
I generally pass on the Super TH, but this one I may have to buy online. $$$Awesome

I must say that is the craziest color combination I have ever seen on a Hot Wheel. I seen that Miata once years ago, but I didn't get it and I wish I did.
