And yes you can pause it, as i took about an hour off for lunch. (that was about the only break i had during the whole race)

Yes, it would be weird if you couldn't have a break...

...try stupid
who out here can stare at a screen for that long anyway?
(used to be able to but not anymore)

I will do it in 20 lap incriments. 20 each day, saving in between and using the same car. This will be fun, just not all at once.....

BTW, a REAL GT/Motorsports enthusiast doesnt need to do 100 laps or have the fastest time. A true enthusiast is there for the fun and the experience of the car, the track, and the race, NOT the fame OR the money, just the glory of being able to follow in the footsteps of those true racers before you with names like Cunningham, Andretti, and Petty. If you race for pure victory, you can count yourself as one of them......

whats to stop you changin the oil after every 20 laps?
as its in free run it will only save your best lap anyway
run it all at once took me just under 7 hours running time (10 total including breaks in between)

Well Im not going to change my oil as I believe in a fair race. Plus Im not going to do it in one sitting, just dont have the time, especially with the Board challenge coming up. If I can find a space I will TRY to do it in one sitting......

I'll try but I guess that I will end up like always, last. :(
But i'll try, this is what i've been waiting for.

do it all at once as i highly recomend it;)
...sore back afterwards, cant stand up straight, hands dont work
etc:D :D :D
was fun to do though:)

The whole point of this race FP, is to do it all at once...

And as far as i'm concerned it isn't really a race, more like a challenge.

At this point in time i think i have the slowest overall time out of all those who have completed it.

If you do it in 20 lap increments it does get boring and you lose your rhythm. I did 18, then got up to 33, then up to about 71, then i finished..less than 24 hours, sleep included.

This is my proof of 100 laps.

Well, i just got my scanner and i promised to put one up once i'd done it. :)

Call me crazy (or legally insane) but I think I'm going to give this a shot. Only 600hp though? Yikes!

p.s. If I'm not classified legally insane now I will be when this is done.

when i get 10 free hours i will attempt
in a tvr griffith 500

The gt40 isnt a tuner car :mischievous: Nah just kiddin I wouldn't dream of running this. props to those who did though

Hmmmmmm... Now this I kind of want to try...... please excuse me if my numbers seem weird but I live in the US and all my vehicles have miles on the dammit not km j/k...... I really am going to give this a try now though. I'll post times and car and settings when I finish. Wish me luck!

Oh one more question....... in the restrictions you say 600hp max but at the end you say as long as its under 600hp....... I'm sitting on 600hp exactly with brand new Z06 with oil change, N/A tune 2, lowest grade airfilter/exhaust combo, racing chip, and full engine balancing... That is if anybody is still even reading this thread. Let me know and off and away I go.

Oh good Lord. You guys suck! Now I want to do this stupid thing too.

So the rules are < 600HP, 100 laps of Complex String? Is that it?

The way it usually works is "less than or equal to", which I guess is actually written <= 600hp. You're good to go!

Grrrrrrr....... I wont be able to do this till tomorow or Monday...... Friends just called........ we'z gona have ourselves a 6 person i-Link battle....... damn I wish you could use garage cars instead of just the A,B,C, and S. Well I'll post up the updates when I get a chance.

Dude, I'm so using a garage car. It's going to be fully maxed on everything except horse power, and that I'm going to get as close to 600HP as I possible can.

Have fun on your i-Link. I wish there were people around here who would get into that stuff.
