1000 tickets?

When do you get these? I've gotten one so far and I've driven around 3-4k km and won about 150 races

My current belief based on everything I've read is that you will be awarded a 1000 ticket every time you personally drive (b-spec does not count) 100 races AND 2000km. I'm aware the (english) message when you're awarded the ticket states "OR" but I believe that it's a mistake. It does not have to be done with the same car, and it does not have to be done on a single track. People have received multiple tickets.

Your profile stats include b-spec so you cannot rely on them to determine if you are due to a 1000 ticket or not.

Assuming that both Blond4fun and Zabidenu have done a little b-spec, I would say it's about right that Zabidenu has got one so far, but Blond4fun hasn't.

You can get almost any car in the game chosen at random.
(There are exceptions on cars you can and cannot receive, such as a X1.)

Can get any car.

Not only that, but if you don't get the car you want, and you have a backup made with that ticket still not used, you quit the game, and try again.

I did this, and went from a G35 to a Ford Mark 4. Best ticket ever.

I've never done the cloning thing before for anything, so I'm not sure if that works. I've just backed up my save game before opening the ticket, and used that as a fall back incase i get a Citroen 2CV from my ticket. lol.

I've had 3 1000 tickets in my 'career', and I think two of them came from grinding the American Championship Indy race.

My first was a Vectra V6, the second was, er, something equally useless and the third was a Ferrari F430. Having seen what some people get, I must be cursed or something. Although I did give the F430 to the only person on my friends list on GT5 at the time, he gave me silver chrome, matte purple, matte yellow and matte blue as a thank you that I didn't even ask for, so that was cool.
