Well Mr IR..... you didn't think I gave up did you? :sly: Never......Now for a high 11 run....? 💡

I think it's safe to say that you can 'break' the Minolta drag racing. I think the game does something as far as torque and twisting goes when driving like this. I am using a new car, no miles. I ran about 100 runs with it, took it in changed the oil and then reset the refresh thing again. This should have taken the car back to the condition it was when I first started should it have not? Well when I went back into the 1000m sprint the car was way off, the car suddenly wanted to lurch to the right at about the 800m mark and the front-end got a little lighter. So I now keep a 'stock' of 88C's in the garage. 👍

I mean by all means let me know if you think I'm nuts... But I ran the 12.749 and came right back in and can't break 12.804!

Congrats !

Well it seems that trying to run 2 consecutive 24 races was a bit too much for my PS2..... :scared: It died... Mind you I used to leave it on for days on end so as far as durability goes the Slimline model gets my vote.

I don't think it's worth getting another one, with the price drop on the PS3's it might be worth getting that instead. I shall figure out what to do in the next couple of weeks 👍 and be back on the 1000m strip.

the ps3 rules! 👍 my first ps2 went wrong twice before i got the slimeline, which then had problems with the power connector :( if you do get the ps3 though you will need the memory card adaptor or you will lose all your hard work.

I'll be grabbing a PS3 in a week or so, nice price. :)

Ya, thanks for the heads up on the adapter 👍 , that would have been a pain running back to the store for it.

Well what's say Mr. I-Runner...... Time one of us did a sub 12 sec run I think eh?

I'm surprised to see that we are still holding the top four spots after not having been here for sometime, me that is. 👍

After a busy summer it's time to get back on the track. Better start doing the old thumb workout. :)

hey guys i got this as my best time with my minolta. sure its 2 seconds slower than Sa!!ys Rage's one, but im happy with my result. any tips or hints could be a nice bit of advice for me:sly:

Cheers

Launch launch and more launch. Practice your launches man, it all happens at the 'tree'. 👍 (well not aaaaalllll of it, but it's a huge )part

yeah sure you can, no need to ask :P

and i dont know why not the 400m, i just chose the 1000m one, and it is probably also harded because you have to adjust more gears. maybe it the future ill do both...

:dopey:by the way on my run i had AIDS on so most likely if i took them off it would increase my time if i got my launches right? plus my car has about 1024 hp so it probably will be difficult to launch it

Tricky balance with taking some of the aids off, traction control and high horsepower can be hard. Not like a real car, it's a lot harder to 'peddle' a GT4 car on the strip with a controller and thumb.

Some of the cars also do not setup weight transfer as it would be in real life as well. It would be cool if you could warmup the tires as you do on a real car, that would be a nice feature for the strip.

Well there are a lot of things that would make drag racing much better, but I'm promised to stop bitching about stuff in the game...:)

I can pedal mine! I have a DFP

I was using a mashed and chopped up controller with the thumb rest removed for snappier reaction. I think I still have scar tissue on my thumb from pushing on the little metal post. But that's where I got the quick launches from, well that's my theory anyway...👍 So far it seems to work out.

I've been looking at a DFP or something similar for racing, but for strip it feels weird.

interesting controller setup.:) and getting a personal injury to play the game better is good (not for me though) to show how keen you are. thanks for the tip (if it was one)

With the DFP you feel the "direction" of the CAR in this type of trial
(drag races ) but you have a better change of gear, more faster !!
