2.09 patch new leaderboard list

Think staying car specific would be best, more work though. Doing classes is gonna end up with all the same car in each class....like 10 LMQ's or r35 TC's in the 4wd class. It's just gonna fill up with the fastest car in the class.

No do it the way before its not about being easy. Its a big commitment. Only do it if you want to put that much time into it. Also it will end up with the same car. Do every car or none at all. The leaderboard before was amazing. Dont mess it up.

I say just make it per car, up to top 10. More than that it and it will be way to big and difficult to read. Also, providing video proof instead of pics will make sure no unforeseen glitches cause someone to claim the #1 spot...

Everyone on "the other" leaderboard posts pics with their time, almost every camera that takes pics can take a video. Just something to make sure times are legit, g-force and 0-60 times were great indicators 6 months ago but now I know many people that can get around that...

It has never been an issue before, very few cars can be retro launched anyway. Just some of the rwd second gear launchers as far as I know.

That was just an example. Providing a video shows more proof thus reducing the discrepancies between times.

Right, all phones have a camera that can take videos but who's gonna sit next to you while you do multiple runs on a car to get the best time to post, most of us work, are married with kids and full of responsibility's, it's hard enough to take some time and play let alone making videos to upload online. You don't actually have to take a video while you are racing, just tune as you normally would. I set this up on my other site, I'll copy and paste it here:

This is how you will provide video proof:

Step 1) Use a camera, cell phone or anything that can take a decent video.
Step 2) Go to Route X and begin tuning. YOU DO NOT NEED TO START RECORDING YET.
Step 3) Once you get the desired time you want, DO NOT EXIT TO SSRX MENU. Leave the car driving on its own as you pass the 1000M mark so that your results are displayed on screen.
Step 4) Begin recording the video, making sure to capture your results, then press X to return to SSRX menu. Click on your "Aids" menu making sure that the SRF setting is off and should be visible. Click OK. Then click "Replay". Once replay starts, quickly press square so that your rev indicator is displayed. Once you pass the 400M mark, you can stop recording.
Step 5) Transfer the video to your computer and go to http://tinypic.com/. Select your video and upload it. Post your time along with your video.

My wife already thinks I'm a little nuts for taking pics of a tv screen. She would kill me for waking her up at 3am to hold the camera. They really need to put tripod sockets on iPhones , my current dslr won't take video.

I'll submit 2 pics though, my best timed launch and my black screen time, might get a better sense of the overall tune. Also about half my submissions are done while on the road so uploading a video on 3G will eat into my data plan.

Edit, didn't see previous post before this, the replay workaround is a good solution to not having a tripod or assistant.

They will never run the same time not even if using the same tune.

Yeah there is no way i'm taking a video for 40 + cars

Its was a pain in the ass enough to re-run them all and take pictures for 2.08 ...

the community was always good at policing itself. we know when a time is BS, a video of the aids screen is not necessary
