Cobra_UKGeeUK, I don't think you can have it in single screen and also you can not save 2 player replays. 👎
GeeUKWell I cant figure it out. When you press select during a reply it pauses and there is some text at the bottom of the scree. Dunno if this has anything to do with extra options etc, but I cant find an option to play the reply 2 screen.
PD have done a great job with GT 4, no doubt, but they have missed so many little key features that replay spoils the game in some aspects.
Race IdiotYeah I was kinda dissapointed with not being able to save the 2-player replay. It would have been cool if you could save it and then take photos of the two player race. I'm just hoping you can save replays from the network races.
jessekatiandaExactly like I was thinking, it would be awesome to have some action with a friend and save the replay to take photos of the action..
Race IdiotWell that and the fact that I could save the replay to rub it in after the event. The first two player race I had was a Dodge Charger vs Chevelle at Citta Di Arria, hillarity ensued and it would have made some good photos with cars almost getting stuck at some points where the track narrowed. But alas it was not to be.
To be honest I think it's hardware limitations.
Cobra_UKHardware Limitation? Strange, how come this has not been a problem before in GT3. I think that's bullcrap to be honest.
If they could do this 2 player garage race since the original GT on the PS1 and even back then you could watch full screen replays and save them. Then the fact they're not in GT4 it's either PD has lost the plot and it's a monumental mistake or they took it out intentionally to make more money by putting it back in GT4 Online.
Either way this means that it will never be in GT4 and we've lost out on a great experience or it will be in GT4 Online and we'll have another flaming wait for that now.
LAN mode is something I have not tried yet since I only know one person that owns GT4. I doubt that will have the features we want though.

fukoi've read all the menus/manual (japanese version) and i can't find the one to load garage cars. thats just too bad.
👍
- great graphics
- physics system
- brake dive/accel squat
- uneven pavement on the courses (especially noticeable on Nurburgring)
- wheel of the day section - you can buy OEM wheels from other manufacturers (i put OEM USDM ITR wheels on my EF9 CRX! i know that doesn't mean anything to most of you, but it looks great to Honda fans (even though you can also get 5lugged TE37s for example))
👎
- backfires too much
- cars peel out too much from a standing start and painfully slow 1st to 2nd shifts in most cars (much like GTs of the yore)
- rolling start on certain tracks
- stupid AI; real racers realize that someone is about to pass and they're forced to make room for you. whereas the AI just continues on their path and doesn't look over when you pass and just hits you.
- stock cars sound relatively realistic, but the realism goes down the drain once you install intake/exhaust. for example my '69 Camaro SS 350 sounds very high pitched much like an OHC motor.
- can't pull full-lock drifts (like REAL drifting's supposed to be, not just sliding) because the car pulls back too much once you countersteer
- no 2 player memory card battle (as confirmed by everyone). my friends and i enjoyed having "tuner battles" very much. for example, everyone is alotted $30,000 for mods towards an A class car. then we'd have different events like 1/4mile, different circuits, top speed. 1st place in the event is awarded 5 points, 2nd place 4 points and so ons.
- it is obvious that they carried over the graphic models (EK9 Civic Type R, DC5 Integra Type R, Merc CL600 etc etc) from GT3:Aspec/and various GT3 Autosalon versions. it is very easy to see that cars that are modeled specifically for GT4 (E46 M3 for example) are much more detailed compared to ones previously mentioned.
- lack of disctinction between parts from different tuners. for example, HKS dampers are no different from Spoon dampers. even something visible like exhaust makes no difference looks/power wise. its obvious these (albeit reputable) companies just bribed their way into GT4.
- even though they are a couple of new additions in the wheels section, most of them are just carry-over models from GT3; they're completely "flat" in-game (in the replays also) with no dicernible differences in offset. BNR34s typically run ~+20 offset wheels yet they're completely flat. i was psyched to see the addition of Volk CE28Ns but very disappointed to see that they're flat in the game. on the flip side, the Volk GT-C's lip is too big.
- 12,000rpm redline in the Spoon EK9 is just BS.
thats all i can think of right now. all in all its a great gamedespite many quirks/mistakes/shortcomings, it is definitely the best racing simulation yet 👍
p.s: sorry about the long writeup
Hydethe Spoon EK9 does rev up to 12000 RPM
