2008 Fuji GP

I looked up wunderground.com on the Japanese city of Oyama, where the Fuji Speedway is located (thanks: Wikipedia). Friday looks to be dry with scattered clouds. Saturday has a 30% chance of precipitation. Race day on Sunday is expected to be dry. So if you're going on this, then the race on Sunday in Japan could be a dry one. Temperatures for race day should be 60 degrees Farenheit (16 Celsius). So if this holds up, then it's going to be a dry weather person who could win this race. Forecasts change. But for now, only wet day will be Saturday.

As for the weather, I can only say that it will rain during the weekend. But hopefully the weather won't be as bad as last year..... :p
 
I would prefer a race with no rain, but the wet track is always fun too. I expect Massa to win this, and the last couple of races. :)

My favorite scenario would be for Massa needing to score 10 points at his home Grand Prix. Should he perform well under such a load of pressure than I would say he earned a well deserved title.

That is a toy car I'm sure of it. In fact, if I had a reputation I would stake it on it being a toy car, but I don't so I can't.

He's a bit arrogant already as it is, if that happens nobody will be able to stand him anymore. :yuck:
 
Even though a massive load of self-confidence looks like a prerogative in the discipline, I don’t see Massa as an overly arrogant driver. Certainly not if you look at the option left for this year tittle. The idea of my previous post was more related to the fact that I would like to see what are Massa’s abilities to handle such a “big time”. Nothing more.
 
Massa has never struck me as arrogant, he doesn't have the sense of entitlement that some other drivers do, and he has a bit of a reputation as being the nicest guy in the paddock.
 
I get this feeling from him when he's being interviewed, at least over here to our journalists. And I said a bit arrogant, there are worse drivers.

Massa is one of the nicest guys in F1. I wouldn't say he's a "bit arrogant" at all from most interviews I've read and seen with him.
 
I think Hamilton will take this one with Massa in second.
 
I'm watching the Japanese Grand Prix coverage on Speed. Almost forgot that midnight CDT means afternoon racing in Japan when there's a race weekend. If ever a Japanese race is done at night, it means a Sunday morning deal for us Americans to see a Sunday night race.

As of now, Sebastien Vettel is ahead 1:18.761. Lap times of 78 seconds has to be a very short track or a very fast course. I think this race track is shorter than Monaco or just about.
 
No. It is quite a bit longer than Monaco!

The official F1 website lists Fuji as 4.563 km and Monaco as 3.340 km

Timo Glock is the fastest in practice(ironically in a Toyota around a Toyota owned track). Japanese headlines anyone? As for the weather, I say Bring rain!:trouble: And the tyres, that explains why the are that color and that they are actually green(they looked white from the angles I saw).

It is and they sell like hotcakes!. Unfortunately, only the Japanese have enough room to store those(along with the random rocks that come out of nowhere) so they're only avaliable in their region :lol:

Now it's a conspiracy to have a German driver set the fastest time in the Japanese Grand Prix while driving a Japanese car when there's a Japanese driver at the same Grand Prix who drives for a Japanese-backed team.

What next? Elvis didn't die, he really re-invented himself as Bernie Eccelstone?
 
I hope Vettel doesn't crash into the back of Webber behind a sefety car this time.
...And I hope Webber doesn't throw-up in his helmet this year, either.

He didn't have the best of luck last year. Let's hope it'll be the opposite for him. Looking farward to the race. 👍

Maybe Coulthard will vomit into his Helmet and Bourdais will crash into him during a safety car period. The latter sounds quite probable! :lol:
 
I hope Toyota win this race. That would by six different teams winning in one season.
