I've got a semi-finished model of a BMW-Williams. So? :p

If a Ferrari should make contact, there's nothing we can do about it. It might even be a regular racing incident. Plus, the Japanese stewards are used to rough contact deciding the championships - Prost and Senna did that, twice!

So we'll know at the first turn then?:sly:

So let me get this logic straight:
McLaren yet to have technical problems with their cars all year
and
Ferrari have had several engine problems and issues with setups
which means:
McLaren are more likely to have technical problems now?????

Whats changed thats made you think this? I think this just makes it highly unlikely that McLaren are going to have any problems at all.

i think your taking his post as saying it will happen. hes just saying there is always the chance that it could happen not that it will happen.

Oh...then in that case I apologise, I need to stop taking things so seriously then....:nervous:

I have a feeling that this is going to be an intense race. Only 5 more hours! If Raikkonen can get ahead of Lewis at the start he might be able to back up the pack so Massa can chop them off. The question is whether Kimi would be willing to do such a thing, since we know how hungry for victory he is.

well like the anouncers said yesterday during qualifying. kimi is still mathematically in the race for the championship. so scenario 1.) he knows that if he can get first in the last 3 races he can still win. but he knows that hamilton needs to place really low in the next 3 races or not score any points at all for him to be able to get the championship. so im sure raikkonen will do what ever he can to get hamilton as low on the grid as posible meaning im sure he will be pushing to turn 1 to get ahead of hamilton and get as many people in front of hamilton as he can. now even though he may be doing this for himself he will probably end up helping his teammate in the process. Scenario 2.) ferrari is paying him a nice bonus for him to be a team player for once and do what ever he can to help massa. my guess is the second scenario

Yeah I think the second scenario is much more likely. Kimi probably isn't used to playing Rear Gunner for someone, having outscored his teammates in almost every season. Not that Kimi isn't experienced with hanging about and trundling along(look at Hungary.) It's almost like Eddie Irvine and Michael Schumacher in the 1999 Championship isn't it?

So to all of you who made your picks for this race... care to stick to them, or do you want to change your picks for this race for when it goes underway?

Glad to see you are up :D:tup: I went to my bed at 8pm last night

I have to say, the ITV F1 crew are out-doing themselves this week. Louise just asked Jenson Button about having the extra pressure of his "home Grand Prix" (because he's in a Honda, presumably). I also thought Kubica's soliloquy about the similarities between F1 and ten-pin bowling yesterday was the unintentional comedy highlight of the season!

And the lights are out, as raikkonen gives lewis a stare across the grid, and GO!

Hamilton you complete B******

Jesus Christ at turn 1!

That was stupid by Hamilton stood on everything and cost himself.

Massa's move, fair or foul?
50/50 I'd say.

Edit: Insane dive there. How can Massa make an excuse for that?

What is this, amateur hour in Robin Reliants?

Hamilton all over the shop and Massa playing dodgems. Still, at least Kubica's leading - be good to see him get a win.

edit - yep, Hamilton being an idiot off the start. He muffed the start and instead of sitting down in second or third, tried to kamikaze up the inside and wound up twenty yards off the track. Rubbish online drivers all over the world recognize that move.

But then Massa's shunt on him was clearly utterly inexcusable - he messed up the corner as badly as Hamilton messed up the start and decided to drive straight over the grass and right into the side of Hamilton. Can't see how he can talk himself out of THAT one.

They both deserve a DNF. Go Kubica!

Is it just me or does Massa not know how to pass? He's been stuck in seventh behind a fricking Red Bull for ten minutes now, and it's not like you can't pass at Fuji. I honestly can't recall him making a decent competitive pass on anyone in ages.

I agree 100% that Hamilton acted like a school kid at turn One and that's not a mark of a champion but I cannot excuse Massa's 'move' on him.

Replay shows ALL 4 if no 3 wheels off track/ not between the white lines.

Not sure that Massa will get away with that collision, but Hamilton is his own worst enemy, really...

Like many have said before, Lewis broke way too late into turn 1, nearly causing a huge pile up. Massa had all 4 wheels off the track, cutting the turn, and ramming into Hamilton. Bull**** driving by both. Both deserve zero points. Make it a battle between the two Fins!

THIS JUST IN:

Incedents between the two Ferrari's and Lewis' McLaren, under steward investigation!

This has all the indications of going to the very last race to see who ends up being champion. I still can't believe Lewis' start good god. He got a terrible start but that's no reason to just barrel into turn 1 balls ablaze. As for Massa the punt on Lewis was lame...oh wait what's this? the stewards are investigating the Ferrari's?

From live timing, "Massa, Raikkonen and Hamilton are under investigation by the stewards." Strange thing is it mentioned that Kovalainen appeared to have forced Raikkonen wide at the first corner.

Sometimes I just wish they'd let every kind of dirty driving tactics go, just so we don't have people flipping out upon every little thing.

Kovalainen Blew up his motor....wow

Massa and Hamilton drive thru penalty.

Drive through for Massa

He wont be arguing., Hamilton also a DT.

THEY MADE A GOOD DECISION!

Alonso looks to inherit the lead after the stops...hmmmm interesting! 2 in a row??? maybe?
