2009 GT5P Updates Wishlist!

GRID is an arcade racer. Apart from GT5P the only options available are Ferrari Challenge and F1CE.

Personally I think Ferrari Challenge is a great game to have and play, but if Autoaki didn't like it, the only other option is F1CE (don't own and never played it myself, but judging from what I hear from respected well known players here, it's very good).

That's true... I was forget that game. I will check out some reviews about it. I started my sim-courier with PC+Trustmaster and GP III. It was great game then mid 90's! Very 'real' damage and unforgiven physics.

Yep. I cant understand why is there so less competition in console racing-sims? It cant be somekind of nuclear-physics to create good game-engine and online structure for consoles.

I'll keep waiting. Since GT3 I have practice that... but still i'm not very good at it. :indiff:
 
The problem for PD, each week that passes, is a week the competition draws closer.

The competition are aware of GT5's graphical quality and driving physics thanks to the year old GT5, once that's matched, the battle is content (which GT excels at) and features (which the GT series has always lacked).

Forza 3, Race Pro and the Blimey title could all better GT5, and hit the market earlier.

I see no reason why PD could not provide an update with one track and a few iconic cars before Jan 1, afterall they've never stated a major update is NOT on the way, despite rampant speculation for 6 months.

If they don't deliver an update I will feel they've led fans on, knowing GT5 is still at least 12 months away.
 
info.. please PD give us at leaso SOME info.. i really dont know why cant they comunicate at least a bit.. im still hoping for some Home connection though..
 
wow sounds nice :D Righ now there isnt time for my ps3 anyway because of school..but on holidays i will start playing again because i like current online events.. but that wont last forever
 
You'all find that the specIII was'nt that much with only 3 cars, but don't forget that the Citroën GT was made for this game, it's the first time that this has ever happened and they even maybe gonna make it to production.... This is a really big achievement for PD so this can be the big update(more for them then for us!). Only thing i got a problem with is that the car is useless in races online, they should make a one brand race so that we can enjoy this car with it's full specs.

Don't get me wrong i really hope there's more too come from PD before GT5, but if nothings happen till.....(?, whenever) just hope the japanese version will come out very soon, that will mean that the european version will arrive 6 month's later. And with the Japanese version coming out we'll alrady know witch cars & tracks they have added.
 
they said months ago..Thanks to big fall update players will have better communication between each other
 
month ago they told that private rooms will be available only in gt5 release also...

i want damage like they promised...
 
All I want in Prologue is damage, even if its one only a few cars, I wouldnt mind if thats the last update they do. KY PROMISED damage in prologue and he also said FALL (lets take that as end of the year)... so hes got 2 weeks or so to stick with his promise.

I read on the playstation forums that there was to be maintainance on the playstation network for a few hours, so it is probably that.

I went back was able to sign in. But when I started up GT5P the news on home page said gathering news info try back later? & did that again some 20 min later.
 
They don't suspend the PSN Network for a GT5:P update. The only time I've noticed something is going on with a GT update is when I'm signed into the PSN Network but the GT servers are down.
 
Here's my prediction. I think the fall update is not going to happen I think. :indiff: ( I hope I'm wrong) But I think on Christmas day we will have the events changed online.
 
I think Fuzzy is right, I hope we are both wrong. I think the events update will happen before Christmas though, maybe Christmas Eve.

Lets hope they give more Expert-events, than just three ( actually two ) like now. So many newbies will get PS3 and GT5P, ( :nervous: ) that three events is not enough.
 
I would love it if you could download a few tracks from it...and I'm thinking of a 20.5km long monster in Germany...

Especially when one of the events is for the Concept, making it like having just two events. I doubt they will be more than three and the F1 event could be back, I wonder if they will be an Expert world event with no Rubberband yet.

Would this be the first promise KY has not upheld?.......

Right now I'm so bored with GTP, its hard to even get a expert match when I have time, and there is nothing else for me to do in the game that I have'nt already tired of after doing the same thing in all the other GT's for so many years.:indiff:
 
If you look on the GT5P website you will see that updates happen with regards content, pictures,video or indeed actual updates approx every 3 months.
October was the last update regards pictures and the Spec III

November =1
December =2
January =3

Needless to say this means nothing but they have been rather consistant on releasing media etc withiin the 3 month period ever since the first screenshots were released.

Impatience is a terrible thing, but what can we do but wait.
 
Christmas is the best time to release an update as it would vastley increase sales.

can you imagine if on Friday they released an advertisxing campaign on TV with Gran Turismo showing damage, weather effects etc - the sales for Christmas would go through the roof.

If PD don't release anything before Christmas then to me at least it comes across as if they don't care too much about us all.

I mean most people have time off from school/work over the Christmas period - it would be nice to play GT5P with some new updates but no PD are driving us away to other games or worse other consoles.

PD = Proper Dope if we get an update release before christmas
PD = Proper Dopey if we don't!!

PD Who ya gonna be?
 
well i think 19th December is kinda late for advertising.. i think most people already bought christmas presents

well no offense but actually you guys are acting like PD was your mum.. Theres no excuse that they are simply not communicating and that we dont have the most basic online features
