Webber now tailing Hamilton as he exits the pits... Webber's tires are up to temp... Hamilton's are cold... but I don't think the RBR has quite the speed to take the McLaren.

Pits for Webber, Hamilton and Rosberg allow the Ferraris to pull up to 3rd and 4th... can the Ferraris manage enough pace to keep those positions after their own pits?

Neither Button nor Kubica has done their second stop, either.

I hate to say it... but if Ferrari wants a good result, "team orders" might be in order.

Ham -> Web -> Rosberg all got out ahead of everyone else - so it remains to be seen whether or not the new tyres can catch the 2/3/4 with these fresh tyres... at the moment they're 1.5 seconds a lap quicker - with 20 laps to go and 20 seconds gap...

IF that is maintained - then they should catch them - but they'll still have to pass...

Man...this could be an exciting finish :scared: Hamilton is catching Button at nearly 2 seconds a lap atm  Should be interesting to see if Button (as well as the Ferrari's and Kubica) can manage to make their tires last until the end...

Edit: Now the two Ferrari's are right up on Kubica's rear :p

Brundle reckons 7 laps to catch them - that leaves 7 laps to overtake the 3 cars... Button won't come in I reckon...

Do note... Button is the man who has been out the longest on those option tires... and yet, his pace hasn't really suffered all that much. They really really need to tweak the tire formula to make this no refueling thing work... if the "soft" tires can least nearly an entire race, then there's something askew...

Yea, I don't think so either at this point, given the length of the pit lane here.

Yes, that's because he's been pussy footing the car around  Good on him though...that's all he's needed to do 👍

Pit Radio -> Massa: You've got to overtake KoohbiKAH now, you've got to overtake KoohbiKAH now... Lewis Hamilton is catching up, he's ten seconds behind Fernando.

Massa -> Pit: (in his head) What do you think I've been trying to do these past dozen laps?

Those Ferraris look too squirrely at this point on those tires to actually do any overtaking at all.

These next ten laps will be scary. Hamilton HAS to overtake the Ferraris, Webber is on his tail and will definitely try something if Hamilton doesn't.

It could be a very exciting end to the race, or could be a dreadful smash-up...

Yea I think the Ferrari tires have really taken a beating after getting stuck in the dirty air behind that moving roadblock (Renault). Not to mention how hard Alonso was pushing to move up from the back of the pack to where he is now. Button's been out front in clean air for the most part, just sitting back conserving his tires...so no wonder we are seeing this happening.

That radio transmission between Ferrari and Alonso was funny: Pit crew: "Hamilton is now 3.5 seconds behind" Alonso: "I don't want to know!"

Hey... they're racing... Alonso pushed his way around Massa in the last race.

Massa has a big sideways moment. If things keep going this way, Hamilton WILL pass Alonso... and has a good chance of passing Massa. Webber may ride Hamilton's tail past Alonso, and might be able to take Hamilton once past him.

And what did I say about Webber? Now they're nose-to-tail behind Alonso.

Button sets personal fastest lap (???) as does Massa. Either Massa passes Kubica now or he'll have Hamilton up his butt in the next three laps.

Is it my imagination, or is Lewis asking about changing tires over the Pit Radio? I imagine the Radio transcripts from this race will be pure comedy...

AGH! Webber takes out Hamilton! Terrible race for RBR!

Shock horror - who didn't see that coming?

I feel for Hamilton - it's not Alonso's fault for holding him up, but it's pretty ridiculous that someone can take > 2.5 secs a lap off someone and then not be able to get past once they reach the car infront.

Race over for RBR. Webber has ruined his car going into Hamilton... Not entirely his fault... Alonso locked up... but Hammie will be absolutely furious with him for that.

Of course... the RBR is still running, but since any possible result is meaningless, he might as well park it and save his engine.

Win for Button... no surprise.

Congrats to Jenson - well happy for him.

At least Lewis only lost 1 place though...

Some strong words will be said to Webber I reckon!!

And Congratulations for Chandok in the HRT team - crossing the line behind Jenson. (Albeit a few laps down!)

Great stuff from Button, but another 25 points go begging for Seb.

Another excellent result from Rubens too 👍

I reckon just one would suffice. :p

I'd like to give a shout to Jaime Alguersari.

Had the seven time world champion behind him and then kept him there, made Schumacher drive around him. Okay, he might not pick up a point but full respect to the youngster

Hamilton would rather crash then accept a 5th place lol.

:D yeah we saw that last year at Monza this time it wasn't his fault though.

More points for Force India though :D and Liuzzi in front of Webber in the drivers championship :D

Could we be seeing the start of something good? Former WDC Jenson Button in his first win at McLaren. Surely the rain played a big part in that. After losing pace in Qualifying against the Ferraris and RB Rs after a great practice result, that insane first pit stop gamble and terrific tire conservation from the Brit got him home in first after Vettel's retirement.

Well-deserved second place for Kubica... great defense from the ten-foot pole...

Ferrari managed to salvage the race... Massa drove a solid race in third, and Alonso drove an absolute binder to get back up to fourth.

Nico re-inherits fifth after Webber and Hamilton clash. Good result for him, too.

Lewis salvages sixth after missing out on a possible fourth after Fernando's lock-up put him straight into Webber's crosshairs. He'll be fuming mad about that punt, though... I think Mark will want to avoid him in Parc Ferme.

Tonio Liuzzi, Pedro dela Rossa next...

Surprise of the day? Webber actually makes it back out onto track in 9th after changing his nose.

Rubens rounds off the top ten... and Schumacher finally makes it around Jaime Algesuari... ...good job, Jaime!

Biggest loser of this race will be Sebastian Vettel... for whom a pole position to victory has been denied a second time by mechanical problems. Strangely, Mark Webber has run (mechanical) fault-free races both times. Could Kimi's Kurse have found a new host? Be afraid... be very afraid.

WOOHOO Kubica in the podium! And now I think I will say Jaime "Big Balls" Alguersuari. And an HRT has finished the race!
