This is very interesting! 6th for Di Resta at-the-moment.

Ferrari seem to be very close to RBR performance wise - even Massa.

Great laps by KK and Di Resta. Not sure what was up with LH though, why go out on used Softs when there is rain about?

So it's Red Bull verses Ferrari then.

I can't help but think Ferrari's weakness on the harder tyre is going to hurt them.

McLaren wasted a set of soft tyres there. Clearly off the pace is not a time to search for time. They should have saved that extra set of softs for the race.

Good performances for Maldonado, Kobayashi and di Resta. 👍

Webber and Alonso will start on the clean side, right? I wonder if Alonso can get past Vettel at the start and slow him down for Webber...

Wow. Giving the Mercedes teams OTBD concessions and taking them away from the Renault teams has been a really unfair move by the FIA. Renault-powered teams first and second on the grid? Why, they're practically miles behind everyone else!

One suspects that Renault were playing fast and loose with the diffuser regulations ...

Hmmm Fantastic Quali action ,Strangely Mclaren are slow (it was obvious in Q1 and Q2).Lewis ruined his First lap Weirdly .Paul ,Pastor and Kamui brilliant .Williams really took a step forward.

Shumi dissapointed .Hope Mark stays infront on the first lap ,can't see Ferrari Keeping up with the Hard compound.

As always:

Go Vettel!

As long as he finishes in front of Button, Alonso and Hamilton, it'll be all good.

Oh, and ANYONE BUT ALONSO!

Fantastic to hear Murray Walker back in the commentary box again! :)

That was quite a session. With the ban of this blown diffuser, I think the most obvious struggler is Renault. Laying down the grid from what could be a top-10 starting. The rain shakes up everything with both the Toro Rossos got caught up by the weather, thus failed to make into Q2. At some point of Q2, I saw Heikki went up to 4th or 5th place - I was stunned!

It might rain tomorrow, so could it be a 2008 repeat?

Guys will this be aired on speed? on the program guide All i can find is the GP2 Championship in silverstone but i dot see f1 racing except for the qualifiers!

Nope. The race is taped delayed and will air on FOX at noon local time. If you want to see the race live, you'll have to go about watching it using other means.

If we have conditions like these tomorrow... pitstop madness!

You can watch via the OneHD stream which uses the BBC guys.
The OneHD stream is region locked, meaning people outside Australia can't watch it. ;)

A disappointing ending there for McLaren but Red Bull showing that their car is generally just an all-round fast package and their speed isn't up to one single magic blowing and flexing piece. Also a great job there from Alonso, coming within just .117 off of Webber's pole time in the Ferrari.

Things I learned from Silverstone (first visit)

1. Book a Grandstand seat possibly with a big screen near by.
2. When it rains head to a grandstand.
3. Buy merchandise online before you go
(£25?? For a McLaren Hat)

Hmm, well then. I might just pick up the Team polo at Sports-direct for £40. ;)

They were 5 Euros at Le Mans!

And I still didn't buy one. :sly:

Also can someone tell me when was the Murray Walker bit in the programme today?

Don't worry fellas, I can tell you what the weather will be when I wake up tomorrow :D :sly:
