Is that your only defence? "provide a link"

I don't need to, it's common knowledge amongst fans of our sport of choice, if you care to disregard a plain and simple fact then fine, I hold no amimosity towards you or your (IMO) misguided beliefs. I pointed you in the right direction and you chose to ignore.

What are you arguing about??

Who cant pass who wah wah wah, same thing that we always hear when Vettel comes up. Lets not forget that Alonso couldnt even pass Petrov in a vastly superior car in Bahrain last year. If one person not being able to pass one car is your standard, then it isnt a very good one.

Alonso passed Hamilton on the track today, Vettel didn't.

 Hilarious .The Mark Webber Page also ,just don't know why he is listed as Actor/Director

He does adds for a company called "Swisse"

Glad to see Ferrari's performance today. Also hilarious the team orders by RBR. Fully in their right to do it. But hypocritical given their stance on team orders and the lead Vettel has at the moment.

Stephen said it was a fact that Ferrari influenced the FIA, hence the victory. I asked for a link to demonstrate this, given it was a 'fact'. There hasn't been one posted, yet I'm ignorant for ignoring Stephen's opinion.

I was waiting for the RBR brigade to arrive, having been oddly quiet during the race. :p

Yep, the anti Alonso brigade are in full swing now. I cant stand the bloke, but he deserved to win, webber deserved to race with vetrel, and us fans deserved to watch it.

Raining right now.:) I love this grand prix, it's definatley the best for the fans. Only Monza matches Silverstone for atmosphere.

Personally, I think Spa pips it for atmosphere.

You mean the off-throttle issue?
For me, it sholdn't be banned no matter what.
2 years ago, Brawn, Toyota and William got their double diffuser invention. Only to be banned from 2011.
Last year, Mclaren got their F-duct and get banned this season.
This year, Renault gang have their off-throttle invention and it was banned half-season!

Surely, i smell something fishy around here.

Likewise.

So Vettel can overtake...

In the pits :p

As can Alonso.

Unlike SV's volumes of "I won em with hard overtakes"?

Another ad break!

I'm fed up with people moaning about this. Yes, he does lead a lot of races from pole to the end, but that's because he already beat everyone in qualifying. He isn't put on pole by lucky dip.

Alonso is 19 seconds in front, that botched pit didnt cost him 19 seconds.

No, but being stuck behind Lewis didn't help.

Well, what do you know.

 I was waiting for your appearance.

"Maintain the gap"?!. RBR now take the team orders mantle for patheticness. Where are the RBR fanboys now?

If it is a fact, provide a link, otherwise I'm going to disregard your opinion.

Can't wait for Webber's view on being told to "maintain the gap". Guess the blue eyed boy needs all the help he can get.

I'm sorry. I'm a little confused, because it says moderator under your username. It's just that you're coming across as a bit of a troll right now. Do you want a spoon to stir the pot?

After the race Alonso said "Fantastic race. Fantastic.". Didn't start to scream like a 6 year old girl after getting a new toy, as Vettel always does.

We'll see how you react when you win a Grand Prix.

Well done Alonso. Not a single mistake.

Vettel has still not shown that he can make a proper race pass on a car with anything that even approaches similar performance of the Red Bull. Had it not been for team orders, Hamilton's fuel miscalculcation and Jenson's bad luck he would not have been on the podium today. So much for Alonso only inheriting wins eh.

That's an awful lot of "what if's" right there. Team orders or not, he would have been third at worst.

I don't respect Vettel. Actually he is the only F1 driver that I don't respect.

I'm sure he's really upset about that comment.

Webber won't fit at Ferrari he's too independent, I could see him go to Williams to replace Barrichello.

I don't see Webber going to Williams. They seem to be in a constant slump. Webber said that he considered leaving F1 when he was at Williams. I think he'd rather be at Ferrari than go back to Williams.

A well deserved victory for Alonso, even if he was handed the lead, his pace was superior. Once again, I am shaking my head at Lewis.

Are you blind, or are you missing the constant anti-Vettel brigade?

Alonso passed Hamilton on the track today, Vettel didn't.

With DRS and KERS. Vettels KERS wasnt working properly (As said by CH), McLaren have a better DRS system and more top speed than the RBR.

K, I think your right he's was just really fast today. On a good day. I'm sure 'start to finish' Vettel would win.

I don't think Webber will be asked to go to any top teams, If not Williams then maybe Lotus.

Very, very loyal from Di Resta. Stated the team made the mistake but didn't tear them a new one. Chin up kid. 👍

That's an awful lot of "what if's" right there. Team orders or not, he would have been third at worst.

It was all tongue in cheek. Fact remains though that Alonso was the faster racer out there today. He was 10 seconds ahead after the final pitstops and took another 10 seconds in the next ten laps. He also drove the fastest lap of the race.

Believe me if you will but I was honestly glad when Vettel came out in third after the second pitstop, not because he was behind Alonso but because I thought that now he has the chance to show that he can really race and not only hotlap. He couldn't.

I'm pretty sure that most people say Red Bull's DRS is better than McLaren.

Im only going off speed traps from the Hangar straight on Friday, and McLaren were the fastest. Where they could both use DRS.

It's Perez! No one saw him getting 7th, and no one actually did see him get to 7th :D

Hence why I called it a well deserved victory for Alonso, but there was a bit of luck involved. As a matter of fact, he's only had two wins that were 100% on merit since Fuji 08. Those wins being Monza and Singapore last year.

Edit: Jake, not every British person supports a British driver.

I applaude Hamilton, great drivers give it all without compromise, that`s racing, number 2 drivers hold back.

Whereas Lewis' ego keeps growing and growing. He has little regard for his fellow competitors. This is a dangerous sport and I fear the worst.

They all are big boys, im sure they will be fine.

Plus one for this statistic.

Anghammarad, you are still to reply to my comment about your method for rating drivers talent.
Vettel couldnt pass Hamilton, Alonso couldnt pass Petrov.

There's almost always luck involved when a Red Bull does not win, and I am not being sarcastic here. You have to remember that Alonso has not been in a winner when it comes to cars since 07.

I find it interesting that Vettel seems to be quite poor at managing tyres when he is under any sort of pressure. Both times he lost to McLarens this year he shot his tyres and today only team orders saved second for him even though Webber was on older tyres
