Sounds like Busch is out of the Nationwide series and possible the Cup series as well for the rest of the season.

I'll be surprised if the rest of the sponsors don't soon follow suit. Looks like this could be the beginning of the end for Kyle's Career, without NASCAR's Help and another strong example of how sponsors more so then teams are making the calls.

I can't help but think that Kyle Busch has been a net asset for NASCAR, particularly because he helps put fans in the seats during these hard economic times that NASCAR and others are having. I would like to know what the fans and the TV audience audience ratings have to say. Sometimes any publicity, even bad, is actually good for the draw.

This is not in any way to condone what the idiot did. If I did that in my karting conference, I would be banned for life. Kyle Busch does need some kind of therapy.

Respectfully submitted,
Steve

The problem with spectator sports is that you never know how much impact 1 person has. I'm sure he has put some fans in the seats but at the same time it's not like NASCAR was dying before he came along.

Here is also all the TV ratings from this season as well as the past 3.

Where did I say this was a problem? I'm saying this is an example of how much Power Sponsors have. People look at Reed Sorenson and Jason Leffler and David Reutimann Losing their jobs because the owner is douche when its a very likely chance that all their job losses were likely done because of the sponsors.

I agree with you, but we also know that they're not the best of drivers. I think MWR probably had a choice who to give up(as far as Reutimann that is), but ultimately it comes down to if the sponsors say so. That is why David Reagan is losing UPS fulltime and may lose his drive out Roush soon. Sponsor's what results and popularity doesn't hurt.

You make a fine point though.

So it's been confirmed by "sources" that Z-Lines want's Denny Hamlin in the car for the last Nationwide race. And, M&M's has refused to be on the Cup car for the last two races, so Interstate Batteries will be the primary sponsor on the car for Phoenix and Homestead.

^ Thanks R1600 Mars Candy is more classy than Kyle Busch (or so I hope).

Hey off subject...but how do I get quotes at the end of my post?

What a damn idiot, Leffler basically just killed Sadler's championship chances by dumping him.

Hope that idiot never gets a damn ride.

To my surprise, Leffler actually admits fault

Geez, at this rate, someone's going to take out Edwards or Stewart tomorrow.

I really hope that doesn't happen.

Great job for Sam Hornish Jr. I always felt like that guy can win a race if luck actually went his way after the great runs he had and he proved it today. I really hope he's in the series full time next year, I'll root for him all the way.

Man I was reading down the page and couldn't believe no one before you said this. Sam has done a great job in the 12 this year, but like you said he didn't have the best luck. The plan has been for Sam to run the full season next year.

Just so you guys know what I'm looking at:

Hopefully it's "mainly before 11am" like it says. :(

I've always been a big fan of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. I love racing. I kinda wish Jeff Gordon would of won more races and that blow engine wouldn't of happened a few weekends ago. But he's doing good so far.

Nice temps though.

Woke up this morning to it pouring rain at the track. Still lots of time before the race is supposed to start though, so hopefully it quits and they get the track dry. They do have lights, so they could run into the dark if they wanted. Problem I have is that I will be missing my FMSC race. :(

2nd Lap synchronised Spin? You can't explain that.

Wow, Tony just made a 3-Wide pass on the outside

Cale
That was payback from Martinsville. I like Kenseth but he deserved it IMO.

He got what he deserved at Martinsville. This was extremely unnecessary. He just took out the race leader for no reason what so ever.

I think it was a little much. That move looked awfully familiar too

Wait **** damn you Vickers. (Just remembered I picked Kenseth in the fantasy league today  )
