Bowyer will leave Richard Childress Racing at season's end, after being unable to come to terms with the team for which he has competed for his entire NASCAR Sprint Cup Series career. The Emporia, Kansas, native is reported to have spoken -- at least preliminarily -- with at least four teams; Richard Petty Motorsports, Roush Fenway Racing, Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing and Michael Waltrip Racing. MWR emerged as the leading candidate within the last two weeks, and now, final details are being wrapped up that will put Bowyer in an MWR Toyota Camry next season as a teammate to Martin Truex, Jr., and David Reutimann. Sponsorship will come from Five Hour Energy. The multi-year deal is in the final stages of negotiation, with an official announcement expected this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway.

The question I have is, who is going to be in the #33 next year?
Could “team orders” – one driver helping a teammate by on-track means that might be judged as below-board – play a role in the Chase for the Sprint Cup?
That question has popped up this week after what some observers, including Jeff Gordon, have labeled a suspicious caution flag near the end of last week’s race at Richmond International Raceway.
Richard Childress Racing driver Paul Menard spun out late in the race with Gordon in the lead. The ensuing caution allowed Kevin Harvick, Menard’s RCR teammate, to make up a deficit. He eventually won the race.
After the race, Gordon questioned whether Menard spun as a result of team orders.
On Thursday, Gordon said he has been told by a Hendrick Motorsports team member that RCR team radio traffic before Menard’s spin was suspicious.
NASCAR officials were reported to be looking into the situation Thursday. RCR has not commented on the allegations.
I think it's hard to tell from the audio, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was true and wouldn't be the first time someone has brought out the caution on purpose.

No I watch it for the racing and do truly understand what racing is. Bit you can't tell me you enjoy a crash every once in a while. I know it would be dumb to just crash I was not being serious.
Considering Rolex has run at Daytona in the rain.
DP's only run about 500HP compared to the Sprint Cup's 850HP, they also are designed with more downforce.
Saying that, I would love to see them racing in the rain at a track like Martinsville where it's flat and low speed. The problem is that it would take a lot of R&D money for an event that would rarely happen.
