Hopefully United will play better this match against Reading than West Ham last week.

Can't believe the substitutions Benitez made, what manager in their right mind would take off two players who had great first halves :grumpy:

Benitez was out of the game for two years, he's certainly going the right way about getting another long vacation from the game.

Terrible times for us Chelsea fans, we were looking good in the first half as well West ham couldn't keep the ball. This is only going to add to the pressure for the team.

Out of the top four by the end of the weekend:(
 
I should just stop supporting teams. Both teams that I support (Chelsea and Newcastle), have played severely under par this year. Or, better yet, I'll support Man U so they start losing.

How can you support 2 teams? especially from the same league. Who are you supporting when they are playing against each other?

As for stopping supporting your team you have to support them through the bad times as well as the good. It just happens that Chelsea have had a bad time of it for a while now, not just on the pitch.

Obviously the bandwagon supporters are enjoying this (United fans) as they are mostly only used to success, not that they had much of it last year :sly:

Everybody knows you support your team through thick and thin.

There are about 85 professional teams playing in the English leagues not in the Premier League.

Should their fans just give up and support someone else?
 
Is this going to be the shortest spell that a manager has been in charge because with that result and the fans reactions, I can see Rafa out by Christmas?
 
I should probably clarify myself. My team is most definitely Chelsea. I support Newcastle as well though. HBA is my favourite player. I like to see him and his team succeed.

I guess I am sort of a strange Chelsea supporter. I just got into Football 5 months ago. I am a Kamui Kobayashi fan in F1. So, I also support Sauber. Sauber happen to be garnered with Chelsea. Thus, I became a Chelsea fan. I guess I am not a very good fan am I... :(
 
Thing is, say Chelsea sack Benitez who is A) Avaliable and then B) Avaliable and actually willing to take the job on.

There is no other team like Barcelona in the world and never will be, my grandmother could manage Barcelona, providing someone gives her the team sheet with the best possible starting 11 on it :sly:

The premier league is a much more competitive league than the Spanish, you can have as many superstars in a team as you like and you still wouldn't always succeed.

In other words Pep would be just like all the other managers we have had (apart from the special one) :sly:

I think that this is just his mentality; saw the same thing with the AVB appointment I think. He saw the way Porto were playing and thought "oh, I'll have some of that. Lets get their manager, because that means we'll start playing like that!"
We all know how that ended...
I don't see that attitude changing though. What baffles me in all this is that most every Chelsea fan still seems to support Abramovic... we've seen the "Rafa Out" signs already, and people wanted AVB's blood before he got the inevitable axe, but you really never see people calling Abramovic out, and I think he's the real problem right now...

I agree about Abramovich being the problem..... just didn't want to say it myself :sly:

How can he expect success with the short amount of time he gives managers to succeed?

There's only a couple of teams in the world where you could walk into the job and guarantee success straight away (Barca and Man U).

Personally, I wouldn't entrust a top Premiership club to a second-rate Championship manager, regardless of his former career as a player...

And great results for the Hammers and the Swans today, well done. Good point for Everton too, bit sad that they haven't managed all 3 though.

I would like to see Hiddink come back, in his short stay last time he had chelsea playing well and we were getting great results, a shame he opted to retire.

I think we paid 1m for hughes which was a fair sum back then
