Different drivers, different levels of agressiveness and respect, different story, surelly.

As for the penalties, and despite not seeing the whole of the remaining races, there were incidents as well, several at the same spot and if I recall correctly, penalties have been dished out as well, 5 place grid demotion at least. Portuguese Felix da Costa out braked himself on race one and got sent ot the last place of the grid for race two for taking out another driver.

In the end, considering Maldonado was guilty (fully, partially or "accidentally", but was found guilty) the 20s was a very good deal.

Hamilton & Maldonado instance was just a racing incident in my opinion; tyre degradation a contributing factor when trying to hold position; bring on Silverstone :)

I can't believe the debate is still ongoing. Regardless of personal opinion the race stewards dissected the incident and punished Maldonado accordingly.

Lets all forget about it and look forward to Silverstone!! 👍

Jawdropping.

There are only ever two answers when Hamilton is involved.

1. Hamilton did it.
2. Hamilton should have avoided it.

Next race, Lewis sneezes, two cars on the absolute opposite side of the track collide. Debate will go on for twenty pages, at least.

I agree with that.

I am seriously supprised he is not blamed for McLarens bad pitstops.

Actually "Former F1 team boss Eddie Jordan believes McLaren shoulder some blame for Lewis Hamilton's DNF as had it not been for a bungled pit stop, he would have been further up the road."

:D

About Maldonado seat price, I found where I've read it before (grain of salt...):
http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2012/2/...nado-s-F1-Seat-with-Williams-Exposed-7707409/

From 2012 on - $46 million a year if I read correctly.

And from 2015 on will be $63 mil...

Wow. That's a lot of money. Looks like we are set with him for the foreseable future. :grumpy:

But it is quite telling that these incidents almost always include either one or both of Hamilton and Maldonado nowadays. It's not like we are discussing a Button vs Webber tangle every week (or indeed ever)

Hamilton has been involved in one incident this year in 8 starts and that was arguably Maldonado's fault, which isn't bad considering his history and the numerous times that the Mclaren pit crew have blew it for him.
