Ah, poor last sector for Massa. Was a chance to be ahead of his teammate.
My motivation to see F1 for the last decades, was not really to see who will battle it out to come home in third or fourth place...
In my opinion, I'd say you're missing out...

To be honest, I wouldn't think racing is entertaining with such a mindset.

If Vettel gets a good start, which he usually does from P1 then I think a retirement would be the only thing that could prevent him from winning. Although I was hoping for better from Lewis, I just want to see him cross that finish line with a fully functional car.

Luckily the majority of seasons, had 2 drivers fighting to win the championship till the last race (how many season deciders in Suzuka for example).

Same logic goes for football, i wouldn't bother seeing most of Barcelona's games because you already know the outcome before the game starts. Only when there's some good opposition, and there's a chance the other team wins i watch.

Not bad. Only half a second off. Alonso's hope is for Vettel to have some issues. Tire wear, traffic, whatever. Then to hold his position, perhaps jump one or two of the McLarens and finish on the podium.

For the first time that I can remember, I have absolutely no desire to watch tomorrow’s race. Even when I didn’t have access to a television or a way to follow the race, I at least wanted to. But now even that is gone in the face of another lights-to-flag victory for Vettel.

I'm not so sure that the gap is as big to the McLaren's as some think, sure I'm still expecting a Vettel win, but there's a long way to go.

Depends on how much of that is due to the DRS. I'm betting race pace will be very close. But a McLaren or even an Alonso victory will depend more on strategy than any on-track racing.

I'd like to already congratulate Vettel on his third consecutive championship

*Crossing fingers I'm jinxing him*!

Last race I didn't watch at any point was Canada 2011. I'll skip this, and then maybe we can have an exciting race!

No more title for Fernando. Damn. Deserved it better than finger boy to be honest. Always next year.

Yeah, they were putting a little pressure on Webber in Korea, while his championship rival was running away with it.

Vettel champion in 2012 and 2013 anyone? Where can I place the bet for 2013?

Well I wouldnt assume so fast honestly. Who would have thought back in summer that Vettel would have been ahead now ? Most of the people here were saying, myself included that Alonso was in a very good shape to get it, Vettel was 4th or 5th behind Alonso, Webber, Hamilton and Raikkonen. So yeah. Dont go so fast. 2012 will probably be Vettel's as for 2013 let's wait and see please.

Just to be clear I think Fernando (unless RBR have a failure or Seb gets his 10 place grid penalty one day) has lost the championship. YAY ! :D

Oh, but I do love the way he tries to play mind games with his rivals to compensate for lack of machinery *not*.

As the spanish press says "Alonso doesn't like to talk about Vettel or compliment him", want proof? Fine by me.

In a post quali interview today :
Spanish TV
Your war against Vettel is getting harder and harder, what's your plan for tomorrow?
Alonso
Are war is with Newey now, not Vettel
Not like these aticles from autosport.com and marca.com that say he does mention Vettel, in the TV interview (in spanish) (to find video look in the "Lo último" bar and click on 8th video) he clearly tries to send a mesage to Seb to get into his head... He said (i'm summing it up)
Alonso
The race is tomorrow, the points are tommorrow. Races are long and things will happen, Vettel has never won more the 3 races straight, RBR are strong and getting stronger but at one point they will stop getting stronger.

Where was I going with this again?

Bottom line is...

Goooooooooooo RBR and Vettel :D

EDIT
2012 will probably be Vettel's as for 2013 let's wait and see please.
Agreed 👍

^^ Shouldn't you be proud of a fellow spaniard, pushing his car to the limit every damned race to be able to get were he got now?

Shouldn't you feel sad; that in the end all his hard work and great drives, get surpassed by a child with one finger in his nose and the other on the steering wheel because he's in the best ride on the grid?

There are 2 problems with what you just said:
1.
I'm FRENCH
2.
Former Schumi Fan ⇨ he's the youngest 7 time world champion

He's in the best ride on the grid
Please do remind me... did Vettel win his first race (Monza 2008) with the best car? I think it was more like the 7th best car at the time... :sly:
And let's not forget that in his 1st season he finished 4th in China :)
