Shame the Audi's and Ferrari's are so far off the pace in GT, their GT3 cars are the fastest in the world, I'd guess Grand-Am's GT class cars are a similar spec.

Is there a reason why there towing the 74 Audi r8 through the grass instead of towing the car on the track part below the yellow line. Maybe its too not get oil on the track but the car was not leaking any when it was going around the track.

I think its just to make the cautions longer....

I wondered this myself.

I wouldn't count the 458's out but the r8's just don't look fast. They said they where good on the infield but not anywhere else. Also I like how the gm factory drivers in the 90 vette is beating champions of the Rolex 24 :p

I didn't see it but I'm guessing an access point to the infield was closer than pit lane was.

No it was right off the track and they went to pits and then the garage. Don't think there is any acess point to the garage from there right between pits and turn 3 and 4 on the Daytona oval.

#4 Porsche has spun.

I have no clue than.

Just noticed Felipe Nasr is driving as his reward for winning the Sunoco challenge in Britain, he's a great driver will probably be in F1 some day soon...

I havnt seen so many cautions before haha. But keeps that nice close racing. 2 was gaining a huge gap!

I really wish PD would put the Mark 4s in GT5. My current PC cant run iRacing too well and I dont wanna dual boot my Mac :/

These 15 minute cautions for a car that wont start have got to go.

Been attending this race since I was 7 (im 24 now) and Ive never seen this lol

The cautions have been just for cars that can't get restarted. Sort of surprised that everyone has been pretty much clean, but that will probably all change since its getting dark.

I never realized until now just how short Sir Jackie Stewart is...

Ok these cautions need to be shorter. And of course speed is not saying what just happened to the 64 Porsche they just have this Stewart talking for 10 minutes.

Either Waltrip sucks or that Ferrari has something wrong with it, I'm going to say it's Waltrip.

👎 This crap doesn't happen in any other motorsport, Rolex, don't start this now. :grumpy:

He got a tap from behind it seemed, spun out, was safely off the track and couldn't get restarted. For that we got a 15+ minute caution. No debris on the track or anything. They could learn a thing or two from F1. This is why I don't watch NASCAR anymore lol.

It was in a spot that would have drawn a safety car in any series(inside of turn 5).

This also isn't F1 where they can lift a car with a crane.
