Am I the only one that thinks it doesn't look that bad? Looks bad from the back, but everything else is alright. The Impretzel stopped looking good a long time ago so give it a rest already.

I don't think that it looks bad either. I only dislike the "separated" front and rear windows, like that on the Civic. I also dislike the side mirrors.

Sounds like we might not be seeing an STi version of this Impreza anytime soon.

This has been discussed here a few times but I see there is finally confirmation and not just rumors.
Nothing new, though, really.

Get used to it. That's how most new cars will have them in order to decrease the rake of the windshield and make the car cut smoother through the air.

No, I quite like it. The hard edges and random square bits and lines are something I like more than let's say the sonata's flowing, curve/wave side line.

I think we're the only ones, generally speaking. I think the hatchback looks fantastic, and I'd seriously consider buying one with the improved fuel economy and AWD capability in the Michigan winters. Problem is, VW wants to sell me a Beetle, Ford will give me a good deal on a Focus, and Chevrolet says there is a diesel Cruze coming.

...So, a bit down on the pecking order, but I'd still buy one. Especially if they're bringing back the Outback Sport trim.

Meh. The last time any Impreza properly interested me was the 22B. The bug-eye was alright too, but it's gone steadily downhill since then. Without a proper stab at rallying it's just another dull economy car with little else to commend it. All Imprezas since the original have been a little crap, but you used to forgive them that for the bang for buck they offered. More recently they've just become bloated and expensive and much better bang for buck can be found elsewhere.

Incidentally, the same can be said for Mitsubishi Evos, but at least the current Evo is still a great looking car.

I wonder what Subaru will make to the STI brand after separating them from the Impreza name. Maybe STI will expand to something like Nismo is to Nissan.

Is that a wagon or an SUV??
Front end looks ugly :yuck::yuck:

I missed the 2007 Impreza's aggresive looks... :indiff:

The all-new 2012 Subaru Impreza.
Now uglier than ever!

The all-new 2012 Subaru Impreza
Barfing in a whole new way.

I think it looks way sharper over the current model. Last year model had that BABY face, now we are going back to old school design!!! I love it.

I was thinking on buying a FWD 40mpg Fiesta, heck now I can buy CVT 36mpg AWD!!! HECK its Subaru with 36 MPG!!! Count me in!! I cant wait for 2012. But either way I wont buy a car till end of 2012 or early 2013 anyways!!! Man good thing I waited!!!

Any other cool new cars for 2012 that are coming out? (Hatchbacks perfecter especially with good MPG)

I actually like it in hatch form, much better than the current one, which I feel is rather bland.
