Great day of Football, plenty of goals and action and Arsenal losing...

..oh and Alan Pardew got sent to the stands for aiming a head-butt to David Meyler!!

Never once over the past TWO season's have I said "Wenger IN". If you can find proof I did then I'll video myself putting my balls in a blender.

It wasn't necessarily directed at you. It was more at Arsenal supporters in general. Every weekend it changes depending on the result of that weekend. Twitter blows up every week for me.

Liverpool 1-0 up through Suarez...

To be honest most of the Wenger out brigade just gave him time to see how the season unfolds.

I think Arsene gave up on the title when he failed to sign a striker in the window and signed a player who was out for six weeks with back injury...

Can we create two other football threads, one called "The Arsenal moaning thread" and another called "United, why are we so 🤬 now thread" just so we don't have to hear about in here?

Well us United fans cant moan this week we because we aren't playing! :p

You would swear Alan Pardew used a Gorilla press slam and stamped on David Meyler's head the way this furor is brewing.

I'm not defending what he did but come on, it's just a tap.

And as i said in november, Arsenal are going to choke and they are.

It is just a tap but he still shouldn't have done it, he has got previous as well, remember when he shoved that linesman, and he's has some run-ins with other managers...he is a hothead is Pardew and it'll be interesting to see what punishment he'll get because he will get one for sure..

Exactly why no-one should be surprised this time around.

Fantastic win for us today, we've struggled against Southampton in the past, but today tactically we were spot on. :)

Big rest now for us until our next match against Man U, looking forward to that one.

We can, why did Moysey rest players for the weekends rest.

Newcastle have taken action over the Pardew incident, a £100,000 fine and a formal warning. The FA have yet to act but apparently they have said it's a very serious incident, which I don't think it is.

Yes he's a manager, but it wasn't really a head but and the Hull player unnecessarily shoved past him to get the ball. Even I would be pissed if someone did that to me in a professional environment. But what I don't understand is how it's so much different than a player doing it.

Vertonghen got a glasgow kiss in the match against Dnipro midweek, where was their players £100,000 fine, and what action have Uefa taken against it?
I remember a while back Torres raked his finger nails down the side of Vertonghen's face, what action was taken against him?

These incidents had meaningful intent to harm the other player, Pardews didn't. And these players are high profile, and are to an extent role models to young aspiring footballers. So surely when they do something wrong, they should have their asses handed to them on a silver platter. Why are players allowed to get away scott free, and then set a precedent for others to do the same thing? The very people that are inspiring kids to play football.

Yet it goes completely unpunished, and when a manager puts a single tow out of line, or in this case a forehead, the whole football world is in uproar. Some are even calling for Pardew to be sacked.

Baffling.

You can't compare an internal fine to a UEFA fine. This fine is his employers telling him exactly what behaviour they expect of their manager.

It's incredibly unprofessional, yeah, it wasn't exactly heavy, but the point is the intent was there.

I didn't mean to, I meant where was his fine from his club, and then what were UEFA doing about it.

Are City going to bottle a trophy again?

Hadn't better. 28/1 for sunderland to win 1-0 and I was so close to putting £20 on it. If it finishes that way now I'm going to go mental.

Can we fine Fenton at all?💡............Bang!:O

Man City win 3-1, Sunderland took the lead in the first half through Borini, City came back with two great goals in two minutes from Toure and Nasri and then the hit Sunderland on the counter with Navas getting the goal on 90 mins...Sunderland were fantastic tough and gave a very good account of themselves..

Benteke has scored two as well...good day for out of form strikers!

It was Soldado's first goal in open play for Spurs...and it only to him 1032 minutes!

Villa are beating Norwich 4-1!!

So Aston Villa beat Norwich 4-1, Spurs won 1-0 v Cardiff and Swansea-Palace was a 1-1 draw..

I feel sorry for Sunderland, after the first goal went in, heads went down and they conceded again.

Im not sure what is worse, the dive, or the fact that the BBC reported it as a headbutt on the scale of Zidane in the world cup.

Pardew has been charged with improper conduct and the incident has been labelled by the FA as 'Non-Standard'...

...and massive respect to Tony Pulis for fining two of his own players for diving yesterday and he says he hopes the FA give them further punishment...

It's good to hear that Pulis is willing to set an example by punishing divers 👍 Hopefully we can see more managers doing this, but I feel most won't for fear of upsetting the player in the club(especially if it's a world-class player). Ultimately though, the governing bodies should be the one's sorting the issue of diving.

While I'm on the subject of diving, I reserve a special kind of hate for those who say "diving is fine, as it is a clever way of getting a free kick/penalty". No it isn't, it's cheating and dishonest, and severe punishment should be given to anyone who does it.
