I've been noticing it has been very sandy at the inside of the pit straight. Yet people still go down there to pass/block. It's killing grip for the next few corners on those cars.

As long as the FIA don't deem the wing too dangerous to drive with, and Massa's laptimes aren't hampered by the wing, there is no reason for Ferrari to spend extra time in the pits to change the wing.

True, but that didn't work out so well for Alonso a couple of races ago did it?

That was a different case. Alonso's wing was no longer properly attached to the car after his contact. Massa's only damage on his frontwing is a winglet that is damaged, which is only a part of the frontwing and not a part that actually contributes to the strength of the frontwing as a whole.

Contact with the McLarens, that was close. I hope Perez hasn't damaged Buttons tyre.

"He just hit me from behind. Settle him down will you?!"

Perez doing all he can to make sure he lasts 5 minutes at Mclaren

Also, does anyone actually know why the Mercedes deals with it's tyres like a bus in hot weather?

Perez is going to give me a heart attack

Perez, he's your teammate. You are scaring Button.

Message to McLaren. You are supposed to fight the other cars.

But, Alonso's whole front wing was hanging off then, it's just a end plate and winglets on Massa's car, and we know a similar problem didn't stop Raikkonen last week.

Perez wants to! Button doesn't want to let him.

Both McLaren drivers need to chill the 🤬 out. Perez hits Button, Button forces Perez off. I mean, this is great racing, but you don't race your teammates like that.

Button isn't giving Perez an inch. I sense some fireworks on the horizon.

Are you not meant to leave 1 car gap and not force others off the road?

If its your teammate, you're supposed to force him to crash :dopey:!

Yeah that's exactly what I thought would be interesting to see if the FIA do anything

I wish Massa would stop bloody pitting...

Wow, Alonso back in 8th.

Also, what is going on with Massa? Another tire puncture?

Another nerfed tyre for Massa!

Another tyre failure for Massa :(

Massas tire just crapped it self.

Nice job of Massa of not losing it and lucky to be near the pits.

These tyres are awful. Having the majority of the teams moaning about them, has to tell you something. It's gone from one extreme to the other.

Wild! Wild! Wild! :)

I missed half of the race, anything happened before lap 37?

These punctures have nothing to do with wear, though, because they are happening nowhere near a scheduled pitstop. These are happening purely from either battles on track, or debris on the track.

Alonso had a wing failure. Massa had two tire failures. Other than that Vettel has been running away with this race.
