These punctures have nothing to do with wear, though, because they are happening nowhere near a scheduled pitstop. These are happening purely from either battles on track, or debris on the track.

Well Sky stated they seen no debris the second time the wheel failed on Massa and he had no contact with anyone prior.

I honestly think he just had a bad tyre.

Sucks for Rosberg but he didn't punk out. Zo making up places, good on him.

Vergne had some contact with one of the back runners early on in the race before the corner leading on to the first DRS zone. Although I can't see any debris there anymore, there may be some smaller shards of bodywork still on the ground which might have caused the puncture.

But it's also worth bearing in mind that those same tyres will last longer at some other tracks. Of course, they could also have a shorter lifespan elsewhere... Like Canada. :scared:

Yeah, I didn't mean to come across as saying there definitly wasn't any debris, just that Sky stated they didn't see any and that I also hadn't.
 
Dang, was hoping DiResta could get that Benz engine on a step. Doesn't look good. All Renault podiums if the tyres hold up.
 
Are we going to have the exact same podium as last year? :lol:
 
Alonso doing such an amazing job without DRS, and look at Checo taking care of his tires better than Button! And with brake problems!
 
Damn, the last part of the race is going to be good.

I was hoping Di Resta would have been able to hang on to a Podium, would have been awesome. It doesn't look like that's going to happen though. :(

Hamiltons push came 15 laps too late me thinks.
 
Massa had another tyre problem.

Lost tyre pressure I believe, pitted before it went fully flat.

Too coincidental to just be debris and contact for all three. Assuming it could be a setup issue.

This is quite interesting. Sergio could get hauled in front of the stewards to explain himself. He could say he thought it was okay because Button wasn't penalized for doing the same to him. He knows it's not okay, but the stewards would really be put in a tough position.

Yes, Perez did not leave enough space for Zo. All race people have been giving enough space for the other to recover but, Perez didn't.

Button did the same thing to Sergio earlier. No penalty. At least not so far. It will be interesting to see what happens.
 
Quality racing from Webber and Hamilton. Could watch this all day, shame it's almost finished!
