Can we get back to discussing the Grand Prix?

Thanks.
It was kind of related to the grand prix (or F1) but ok :)
Wrong huh? So they DID finish in the points in those races, like I said. Even with them falling positions, which theyve done almost everywhere, they scored points. They're rulling out a win, but stranger things have happened. The heat will definitely play a role. We know Newey likes to push the envelope in packaging, the race will be interesting.
Perhaps we misunderstood each other. I was saying both Mercedes cars could have a repeat of what happened to Lewis in Spain where he DID fall out of the points.

They understood, we just don't agree with you that both or even one will fall out of the points.

RBR's over half a second faster than the second fastest team, Lotus, in long runs in practice.

They are going to absolutely destroy here.

If you need to miss one race this year, make it this weekend's.

I wouldn't be so sure, FP3 will give us a better scope and even if RBR do destroy, Webber seems to have the ability to thwart Vettel this time around.

Hoping for a Webber resurgence to stop Vettel from winning a 4th straight WDC 👍

That'd be nice, for sure but the only way Vettel doesn't get further out is Kimi also ending up on Podium this weekend. Or Vettel having another British GP in some way or another.

I just want Webber to get more wins before we all don't get to see him win anymore in F1. That is all.

It is good to see that Mercedes need a few fast laps to get Medium tyre in operating window to do a really fast lap like other teams on a hot temperature track.

They must have fixed the set up some, and they look to be going fastest in FP3, though I feel that Vettel showed his fastest in FP2. So this weekend practices times don't me anything and long runs will be the guide. I still say Lotus may give RBR a run for their money but they need to be no lower than fourth on the grid.

EDIT:Well Hamilton looked to go fastest but Grosjean finally finished on top after being close to it yesterday.

Though it doesn't seem that RBR and MGP ran an quali simulation like Mclaren, Lotus and Ferrari.

It was never about agreement it was about whether or not it happened before. It did with Lewis. End of story. You're just trying to argue with me for the sake of arguing at this point

Anyway, Hamilton seems to know something about this track that others don't. He seems to be on top of Rosberg in all sessions so far, pretty much the opposite of what we've been seeing all season except maybe Silverstone. For once, I wouldn't mind him getting pole as long as he holds off the RBs behind him for Grosjean/Alonso/Kimi to pass them or something.

No, I'm not I was just telling you where they were coming from. I wasn't the one that told you you were wrong, some one else did. If you are here to win a small argument so you can sleep at night more power to you, but don't drag me in as some guy trying to fight you. :dunce::ouch:

Also your original argument was that both MGP will fall out of points, but this is looking to be like Germany in weather so if that is so they'll be quite fine. Also let's use some logic (you that is) and realize this is a track like Monaco, even if they struggle a faster car would still have trouble passing. Also you have to take into consideration that such temps and running behind a slower car would hurt the chase car due to the track temp and add 5-7 degrees of heat from the car in front. When you factor all that, this isn't Spain thus it is unlikely especially with the car being better than the Spain version. However, if you want to switch the goal post to MGP have fallen out of the point this year to save face, once again go ahead. Oh but I must remind you a mod did tell us to focus on the one GP already, so get back to it.

What about China, Germany, Bahrain and Canada as well?
Wait so the other three poles you had issue with...I don't get you at all, so you don't like Vettel and now you don't like Lewis either?

Practice is meaningless to an extent, if Rosberg wanted to go fastest in P3 he could have, the same applies to quite a few drivers. It's 6-3 to Hamilton in the head to head quali battle, it could be 5-4 if Rosberg had pushed a bit more to get into Q3 in Germany but Hamilton has got into Q3 at every weekend so far this year and last year.

EDIT: Just found this which shows the average qualifying position this season.

we'll see in 30 minutes. I'm hoping for a good session. Though, I wouldn't be surprised to see Webber P1.

He's one of those fans of a driver (Rosberg) that hates the team mate for some reason.

I think a lot of Schumacher fans now support Rosberg because they have the idea that Lewis pushed their hero out of the sport.

Is anyone planning to watch the qualifying on Sky Go?

I'm currently not able to log in... :(

Because any of the guys that know they won't have a chance of P1 will just stick the prime tyres on and do a slow lap or nothing at all.

Oh dear Di Resta.

We'll see, but you look to be correct. The fast laps may have been set already it seems.

Well I'm surprised (and wrong), far more drivers having a go on options than I expected.

Hamilton nicked it, also surprising.
