Just wondering what more well informed F1 fans think of this incident, looks a little harsh to me as that other car is right behind Kimi. When you've got two cars alongside each other right behind you it must be tough to figure out where to back off.

He didn't pull back fast enough, he had already finished his run and was on an outlap.

Kimi probably didn't even see him due to the weather conditions or didn't want to hit the brakes too fast at the risk of colliding with Sutil. Just a wrong place at the wrong time kind of thing which necessitates a standard penalty.

Sutil did the right thing because he saw him coming from a way back. Since Kimi didn't ease off as quick so Rosberg could't go wide on exit as needed, so it's impeding.

I have a good feeling Hamilton can take this one if their strategy plays out as desired.

I'd like to see it but don't want to get my hopes up. Mercedes has been performing better than I expected they would this year, but their reliability has left something to be desired, although Lewis suffered much the same with McLaren last year. Their tire strategy didn't work out as planned a week ago, either.

On the plus side, Lewis is good in the rain.

Yeep, there're alot of scattered dark cloud passing here and on it's way to Sepang today, which is pretty unusual. Well, we still have 4 hours and a half left before the start, anything can happen. :sly:

But isn't this the GP where it always rains?

Guttierez and Riccardo both spun on way to grid!...

It's been a while since this race was an all-dry race though. I would really like to see that, just to see how the teams deal specifically with the tyre degradation.

Yeh we do need a dry race to see how the tyres really perform I guess we should get that in Bahrain

I'm glad it's raining, that always gives an exciting race. Especially as half the track is dry, half is soaked.

Both Mercs must be running alot of downforce seeing as they were almost as slow as the Red Bulls in the speed traps in qualifying. Can see them getting in the mix.

Brundle's grid walk was a little disappointing. I only caught the last half but all he seemed to be doing was wondering around the back of the grid filling time. No drivers or interesting people.

I liked that pre-race interview with Massa going over his P2 qualifying lap, how they adjust some corners for the wet or dry, and how some are down to luck.

They cut it half way through to show replays of drivers going off on way to the grid :indiff:
