At least they have got the striker they needed, and its always entertaining when Mario is around!

Games this weekend

Saturday
Aston Villa v Newcastle (BT 12.45)
Chelsea v Leicester
Everton v Arsenal (Sky 5.30)
Crystal Palace v West Ham
Southampton v West Brom
Swansea v Burnley

Sunday
Hull v Stoke (Sky 1.30)
Sunderland v Man United (Sky 4.00)
Tottenham v QPR

Monday Night
Man City v Liverpool (Sky 8.00)

Two stand out games there..

LVG tells Danny Welbeck he's free to find another club.............long as it isn't a rival. Leaves Leicester and Burnley then.

Man Utd has always been about young talent through the academy.

Isn't that exactly what he is? I think playing him on the wing his pace will fit in with LVG's game.

We don't play with wingers anymore, we use wingbacks. Welbeck ain't no wingback.

Still, I reckon he'll stay.

Like Cleverley above word doesn't fit.

I still believe in Welbeck. He is good, just inconsistent. Maybe a season long loan will be better rather than selling him. Loan him to Hull or something where he will be played pretty much week in week out and we'll see an improvement from him.

My gripe with Welbeck is his decision making. So many times he's been in a position to shoot/pass/cross etc. but he always seems to take an extra touch and then the opportunity is gone, drives me insane to watch him sometimes.

Welbecks first touch is a pass it's so bad. He's got all the physical attributes to be a top striker shame it stops at his ankles. I expect that Wilson lad to be given a chance as back up I'm all for that.

Welbeck needs a move away, he shines at times but he needs a club where he can be playing regularly up front. Rooney, RVP and Hernandez are all quite a bit ahead of him to say the least.

Forest have had a good start to the season, though we often do. Looks like Lansbury is now staying, which is a good thing.

That's because intelligence on the pitch seems something that's just ignored these days, if your are young, fit, fast and strong you get a chance. Welbeck does the wrong thing too many times because he does not know what's the right thing to do, maybe he'll improve in this regard but it's unlikely I reckon. Still I'd probably give him a loan for a season and see what he does with a full season of football.

If anyone didn't catch the Match of the Day documentary last night make sure you catch it on iPlayer, well worth a watch 👍

Celtic make 10 changes to team last weekend and as a result we lose 1-0 to Inverness. Very strange decision to make that many changes...

Arsenal look stunning on paper going forward, at the back not so much

Villa 0-0 Newcastle, Chelsea 2-0 Leicester, Palace 1-3 West Ham, Southampton 0-0 West Brom, Swansea 1-0 Burnley, not many goals today, Everton v Arsenal to come...

Felix Magath might get the sack soon as Fulham have had a shocking start to the season and got hammered 5-1 by Derby....

Coleman!!!! 1-0 Everton!!

2-0 Everton half time, brilliant play by Lukaku for the second but he did appear to foul Mertesacker in the run up...and Naismith looked offside...

Great comeback by Arsenal, getting two goals in the last 10 minutes from Ramsey and Giroud to get a point....

Jammy result for the Arse!

Still, Ramsey's in my Fantasy Football team, so always a right side :D

Should have won, Everton's goal was clear offside 🤬

You could say Arsenal shouldn't have let them into a scoring position in the first place.

You can say that in every offside. Shouldn't have counted period, heck there looked to be a foul on Per before.

Sky reporting Di Maria to hold talks with MUFC next week.:odd:

Was at Ewood Park watching Blackburn vs Bournemouth. Need to step up our possession game - we were lethal scoring on breaks or creating chances, but defensively frail and not great possesion wise. Cairney was a class act stopping everything and setting play up. King decided for once he wanted to be half decent, Rhodes got his 54th goal on his 100th appeareance... and I have suspicions that the penalty we conceded was very very soft. 3-2, heart in ya mouth stuff but certainly a greater sense of optimism surrounds Ewood. 10th in table oh and  @Burnley.

Bizarrely, we won 3-2 at Boro today - bizarrely because we were 3-0 up and conceded two penalties in the last 20 minutes and also because that's 4 unbeaten league games in a row, three against promotion/playoff tipped teams (Millwall, Derby, Middlesbrough).

Of course we're playing Forest next who are top of the table and to whom we recently sold a very good player for not very much money. That'll go well.

Whom did you sell?

In other real football, it's 3 from 4 for Wrexham. But we've a tough home game against one of our secondary rivals, Macclesfield Town, on Monday. We're not actually playing brilliantly because we're gelling 5-6 new players but we're picking up wins at the moment. I dare to dream how well we can play once the team has some chemistry.

1st Halifax Town 12pts +9
---
2nd Forest Green 10pts +4
3rd Lincoln City 10pts +3
4th Barnet 9pts +8
5th Wrexham 9pts +-0
---
6th Kidderminster Harriers 8pts +4

So apparently Ronaldo punched Diego Godin in the face today

Michail Antonio.

Good player. In the words of Big Ron;

Tell you what, Clive, he's big, he's strong, he's quick.

The Wednesday and Forest have made good starts to the season. Should make for a good game, I'll be looking out for it.
