Nick's back in the car... still leading by a ton (+9 laps on the 126) and running nicely on-pace with the other SP2 cars. :)

edit: spoke too soon the 126 is now taking 2s a lap out and the Mosler is on a tear; though he's ~40 laps down so good luck.

The interesting rules, etc continue to surface, no "fuel pumps" in the pits, the cars actually have to leave the pit lane and drive around to gas pumps in the paddock..

I take it this is your first Dubai 24 hours? You're not saying anything new you know.

With the 126 in the pits for a while now... that #140 Renault Megane is only a couple laps out from splitting the GTA cars. Nick's been in the 123 for an hour now. Gap to the 126 is almost 20 laps now. 👍

edit: Good good... Renault got within 2 laps and then it's into the pits now. RJN is still safe in 1-2.

After over 30 minutes in the pits the 126 has just been overtaken by the #12 Viper.
Nick still circulating at a steady clip 24 laps up the road. Looks like whenever he has clear track he's matching the Viper's pace.

edit:
lol... aaaand the viper is back in the pits after < 30 minutes of running.

The mosler getting towed to pit now.

That thing is crazy fast but boy have they been having reliability issues.

#126 is in danger of dropping to 4th. Any news on what's going on? Haven't heard anything.

Yeah, not sure... They've been in the pits for ~45m though. Water pump again?
Bit of a garage battle for second in SP2 though. The Renault and Viper have been wrenched on quite a bit over night as well.

#123 in and out for Fuel + a driver change to Stanislav Aksenov.

GJ Nick. over an hour at night and very consistent on the timing sheet :) 👍

Thought that was the 123? Oh well, the 123 is back out on track. +26 laps over P2. 👍

all the problems seem to be happening to the 126. It's definitely in trouble now. The Viper is fueling and about to head back out... but the Z is still boxed.

edit: Renault is fueling up under the code 60 now, so he's going to push the 126 down to 4th for sure.

So I'm looking at the timing, and I see #108 in the A2 class, drivers name is "James May". :odd:

interesting....

^ Quality banter material

Speaking of banter I just recently turned the stream on again and turns out TV coverage for Eurosport will be non-existent in the middle of the night so they did a mini-highlights reel until they come back in the morning. Can't imagine what the radio hosts would have been talking about if they saw this footage of the cameraman getting caught red-handed :p

He did?

Haha yeah it was pretty funny how all those girls were just watching what presumably was a screen in the garage then they all realise they're watching themselves

Cameraman is either currently in a very good or bad position...

I'm an optimist so I'd say he was in a good position :sly:. Besides, those girls were probably flattered haha.

I think Nick [McMillen] just talked to RLM. If that was him to me it sounds like he's the strongest out of all the GT Academy graduates media wise.
