EVENT UPDATE - 16 SEP

1 - Sporting Regulations Updated

There have been a number of small amendments;

NEW - 3.2.b - There is a limitation on the Racing Numbers that maybe chosen by Teams, this is dependant on the Class entered, and is defined in the Event’s Supplementary Regulations. (GT3=40-49, GT Cup=70-79)

-notes- This looks arbitrary at the moment, but there are sound reasons for it that will become clearer down the road.

UPDATED - 3.4.c - Use of the following compounds of Racing Tyres are permitted; Hard, Medium, Intermediate, and Heavy Wet.

-notes- Race Softs are now prohibited. This is an effort to shift stints towards being fuel rather than tyre limited.

UPDATED - 4.1.b - During at least 1 of the Qualifying Practice Session, each Driver must set a time at least equal to 117% of the best time set by the fastest Car in its Class.

UPDATED - 6.3.a - For each period of unaccounted time, 1 Lap will be compensated for the first full X minutes (time taken to complete a lap at 60kph) subsequently an additional lap will be added every 117% of that Team's fastest recorded lap time set during Qualifying Practice.

-notes- The key numbers here have been increased to 117% from 110&, in case of the former, to bring in line with real motorsport regulations. And in the case of the latter to take into account time spent in the pits.

We still plan to move the event back week, and hope to confirm either way within the next 24 hours.

The Schedule will be part of the Event Program, which will be published shortly, we are just waiting for conformation on the event's date.

Well if it goes back by 1 week, myself, you, PASM and Stiggy have WGTC, yes we could work stints around it, but I also have CORE CSS that weekend, so my driving time will be limited. But its upto a majority vote/AJ's decision.
