I guess Williams has a very good car in terms of aerodynamics this year, that Mercedes engine helps a lot too.

Bottas really has a bright future ahead of him if he can always score a place with a team that offers him a reliable car and he's able to stay this consistent.

God damn it, Hamilton always looks so sad if he isn't on P1. For god sake, how about a little bit more enthusiasm after a great race? I just don't understand that guy really...

Wont be happy til he has a lead in the championship and I cant blame him .

The early success in 2008 made him feel like a god, so I'm sure he wants another champ win but so does Alonso and others.

Kai Ebel - owner of the worst taste in fashion in the history of mankind. He always wears fashion wrecks like that to Grand Prix's.

I was blinded by the shirt.

Also I've just about had it with Ferrari, Alonso does not deserve this, what a shame to watch Alonso charge the whole race and still finish that far away from Nico who was costing the whole race.

Over the moon with Lewis getting 3rd after yesterday, without the Sutil spin I think he would have challenged Bottas harder but Bottas was consistently getting out of turn 2 well and I think the Williams' is very slippery which is why it's so good on fuel and strong in a straight line.

Been a while since we've had a wet GP.

That was my favorite race of the year thus far, action packed throughout the race, not just the final laps! If only so many drivers did not crash and retire though. This season unfortunately in general has had so many nasty crashes (4 that I have thought so in just this weekend and the British GP weekend) but the racing has been fantastic.

52,000 reportedly in attendance. Heard ticket prices weren't very welcoming either.
230-550 euro per person.

I'd rather watch the 1000km Blancpain GT at Nürburgring for 35 euro, thank you very much.

Pricing at Formula 1 is outrageous for the little interaction you get with it. A single day ticket at the N24 gets you access to everything excluding inner pits.

Trying for the new century's Game of Kings? If so, epic fail!

That is a bit outrageous, but with Bernie charging these tracks millions upon millions to host the races, I guess it's expected. At some point, it's going to come crashing down on them.

Really good race, loved Hamilton banzai-ing his way through the field and its between him and Bottas for driver of the day for me, glad Massa is ok, the grandstands looked more empty than full to me!

My "Quick notes" about probably the best race we had so far this year:

DOTD - Hard to call with so many brilliant drives today. In the end I'm picking Ricciardo. That was some fabulous driving up against one of the greatest. Really really never giving up until the flag dropped.

Others -

Rosberg - did a Fangio/Prost race. You know that famous line from Fangio that Prost, years after, also repeated?something like "your aim is to win the race at the slowest speed possible". Rosberg did that. Flawless in every way, I think his german-finnish mixed ADN is working wonders.

Bottas - Another amazing race, again without mistakes, and if it is true he has a good car, it is also true he kept a very cool head - and never a foot wrong - when under a late and formidable charge from Hamilton.

Hamilton - An amazing comeback Of course he is driving a car that is the best of the entire field but nevertheless he gave it all. Maybe too eager at times (Button) but he was a man on a mission. Great drive.

Vettel - Somewhat underwhelming to see him as a mid-fielder, I was hoping for another good scrap with Alonso but it wasn't to be. I guess he did the best his car allowed him to do, and I'd even say that probably this race was better than a few of his wins in the last few years. However, best of the rest is what anyone driving a RB can achieve, and he did it today.

Alonso and Ricciardo - It was a delight to see them race. I picked Ricciardo for DOTD because Alonso is a known quantity and Ricciardo is a breath of fresh air. Can't say more really.

So Rosberg got the same crappy trophy Hamilton got two weeks ago, Hamilton said that it fell apart in his hands after the race!
