During the red flag there was no position given for Rosburg.

It's a red flag, it's not finite and thus it will get back under way and he will be able to perform a lap.

I don't think the brake failure had anything to do with FRIC being removed.

There were comments that since the balance is out of the car it could mess with the sense or braking and thus have to change the bias more so. Also with the heat of this weekend and the fact the MGU-K has trouble to begin with in condition along with the brake by wire it could have all played multiple factors.

I take it lewis will use the spare car as it looks like his car wont get fixed in time.

Mercedes reliability must be in question here, they seem to have more issues than the other front running teams.

Most likely brake failure here, gearbox at Silverstone with Nico and they had to manage the brakes at Austria with the MGK-K failure in Montreal.

It could have been that Lewis applied the brakes too heavily.

Maybe due to the newer suspension and him not being fully use to it.

Reminds me a bit of Mansell at Ferrari, he got all the bad luck and Prost went on fine.

I think Hamilton runs too much front brake bias. Had the same issue in Montreal. Might also be the culprit for his spin in Austria qualifying.

Lewis actually runs his brakes more towards the rear if Merc team radio revealed when Nico asked what BB his teammate was running in Canada is anything to judge with.

You must have to really pound those carbon fiber discs to them to fail or he had a defective one.

With all 4 wheels locked up? Ok then

Commentators are saying that locking the rears is what caused the rear to snap out.

And finally a correct bit of info...

He was running too much rear in Canada.

It's a good job people don't come here for accurate information.

The Mercedes was rock solid in pre-season but has become noticeably more flaky as the season progressed in terms of reliability, odd.

Reminds me of 2005.

It's like they are seeing how fine they can cut things. They need to beef up their Gearbox/Braking systems if they can.

Ferrari timing things perfectly.. what is going on?

Edit: Makes no difference since Kimi gained nothing, and didn't appear to even be trying.

Sadly the F1 drivers disagree with you, as does the video evidence. I accept that I have no first-hand knowledge (and nor do you), I'm just going with the expert opinion.
You mean the EX F1 driver anthony davidson pointing out that the rears were locked on tv with video evidence?

Both rears weren't rotating ether. They were locked as confirmed by sky.

You'd better call Mercedes, their brake experts say it was a brake failure too. Is there a way they can "follow" your immense armchair-wisdom I wonder? :D
