Oh dear, how utterly pathetic.

Kudos to Rosberg for the idea - being at the German GP with a German team, a fortnight after Germany win the World Cup, it was a really nice tribute that has been scuppered by brain-dead people who cannot use a bit of common sense or show an ounce of decency. Absolute idiots - and I hope the negative publicity bites them in the ass, as they thoroughly deserve it.

Sadly, not a surprise these days - not when every part of the car and driver has basically become a moving billboard full of advertisements. Still good to know who to be turned off by... I'll make sure the mute button is handy anytime I see a Hyundai commercial from now on ;)

Susie has been jinxed again :(. Edit: Nvm, they fixed the problem.

Good to see a bit of innovation the McLaren, new rear wing with strakes along the end plate and a waved slot gap (between Johnny Walker logo).

Interestingly Susie's best S2 time was just 0.022 slower than Rosberg's and faster than Seb and Daniel, not bad for her first proper run in a 2014 car.

I actually think the issue was raised by FIFA's sponsors (not that I'm saying FIFA just listen to the money*), I'm not sure who they all are but I'm sure one of them will be an energy drink. Seeing the World Cup they pay to sponsor in a crown of Monster logos was probably too much for them.

As mentioned previously; Rosberg should have just turned up with it on race day then we could have watched Sep Blatter jogging alongside trying to throw a towel across Rosberg's head.

I see Toto Wolff is upset about the empty grandstands.

Does he not understand the concept of a working week?

Fridays have always had a relatively low spectator turnout, if only because people are at work. But it's also Friday practice - from the spectator point of view, it's not as important as qualifying and the race.

Not to mention that some Germans may have already taken an unscheduled day off work on monday...

Are there any fail-safes for brake failure?

I know of some vehicles like trains if there is any issue with the brakes they go into emergency mode and full apply.

What would they do with them? The human reaction time is finite and the drivers already, in theory, brake at the latest possible moment. If they had better "fail-safe" brakes then they'd use those in the first place. If you see what I mean :)

Since rosburg has not set a time, if he sets one about P16 will that mean lewis will start in P17?
