Did you?!
Nope. I thought the only chance we had of winning wasn't 10%, but whatever the odds are of a freak meteor strike taking out 4 of Arsenal's players was.

Luckily we had a sniper, but he only took out two...

it wasn't just a win, it was a beating, some people might have fancied them to cause a upset but not win it 3-0!

Leicester 0-1 up v Hull in ET, Mahrez with the goal, Bardsley was sent off late on in normal time in the Stoke-Chelsea game...

Edit, all three other games finish 1-1 after extra time and will go to penalties..

Edit x2, Stoke, Hull and Everton all through, Hazard missed Chelsea penalty and the holders are out!

This time last week Arsenal had just beaten Bayern Munich 2-0!

I'm half expecting to wake up to that headline and if not then shortly following the Liverpool game unless Chelsea show up and dominate with a 5-0 win.

If Liverpool beat Chelsea on Saturday then Mourinho will be gone by Sunday afternoon, Costa is in hospital with a rib injury after a coming together between him and Charlie Adam.

Speaking of Liverpool, Anfield was evacuated and under lock-down earlier after a man was seen acting suspiciously on one of their stadium tours, the man hasn't been identified and disappeared soon after, Anfield is now re-opened and tomorrow's game v Bournemouth should go ahead..

United and Middlesbrough goes to extra time after 0-0 in normal time, Man City hammered Palace 5-1, Southampton beat Villa 2-1 and Klopp gets his first win at Liverpool as they beat Bournemouth 1-0..

united and Middlesbrough goes to penalties!........and Middlesbrough win 3-1 :irked::irked::irked:

Do me a favour Man U, knock us out.
Rooney and Carrick say no

So that's 5 Premier League clubs and 3 Championship ones in the quarters :D

Manchester City - Hull City
Middlesbrough - Everton
Southampton - Liverpool
Stoke City - Sheffield Wednesday

Good luck to the lower league sides. Hopefully someone other than City or Liverpool will win but can see it being Cit. Especially if Liverpool get knocked out next round.

Fifth round draw

Middlesbrough v Everton
Southampton v Liverpool
Stoke v Sheffield Wednesday
Man City v Hull

Shocking that our captain and vice-captain both missed in the shoot-out!

Haven't penalties always been a problem for the English?

Quick Google says yes. Even worse than the Netherlands.

The banter era at its best tonight. No one's even mad at the result, just at Rooney.

All hail master-race EPL. Embarrassing in Europe and defeated by lower divisions

That, and the League Cup is a Mickey Mouse trophy which has long outlived its usefulness.
Exactly, the only teams who want to win are lowly ones because of Europa League qualification. It used to mean something because there were very little European spots to go around and the schedules weren't so jam packed.

Steve Evans just lost his first home game in charge of Leeds 0-2 to Blackburn, I wonder what odds you can get on him being sacked now!.

Arsenal will be missing Walcott and Ox-Chamberlain for the game against Bayern and Spurs with hamstring injuries suffered in the defeat to Sheff Wednesday.

It's Wayne Rooney's 10th year at United this year and he has been granted a testimonial match next summer, he is hoping to raise £10 million between five different charities and it has now been confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will take part in the match...

Apparently someone shone a laser in Rooney's face before his failed penalty last night...

Last 10 winners:
Chelsea
Manchester City
Swansea City
Liverpool
Birmingham City
Manchester United
Manchester United
Tottenham Hotspur
Chelsea
Manchester United

Of those teams, only 4 qualified for European football only through winning it - and you can probably guess who they were, plus Liverpool. 6 qualified directly to the Champions League through their league finishing positions and 3 were also champions that season (while the other three were 2nd)...

Games this weekend...

Saturday
Chelsea v Liverpool (12.45 BT)
Crystal Palace v Man United
Man City v Norwich
Newcastle v Stoke
Swansea v Arsenal
Watford v West Ham
West Brom v Leicester

Sunday
Everton v Sunderland (1.30 Sky)
Southampton v Bournemouth (4pm Sky)

Monday Night
Tottenham v Aston Villa (8pm Sky)

No evening kick-off tomorrow....

Turns out that if Mourinho gets sacked by Chelsea he'll be walking out with 45 million.

.....
