Swindon have won 6 out of 8 since Ling came in a few weeks ago. This one might be personal issues as he's had problems in the past.

He's an exciting prospect and for sure he can fill in for Coquelin. Wilshere has another injury setback as he won't come back until February due to slow recovery.

I'm smelling a bit of a Spurs bias. Swap out: Walker - Bellerin, Alderweireld - Koscienly, Dembele - Wijnaldum.

Walker-Bellerin is a toss up.

Dembele has been our best player this season and Alderweireld has been really, really good. Those two combined with Dier are the main reason why Spurs have the best defence in the league.

If I were to put Koscielny in it would be ahead of Smalling, but there's something in me that likes the way Smalling plays, takes on responsibility making tackles and (IMO) better at the attacking set-piece.

Wijnaldum hasn't been as good as I thought he would be, I think playing out on the left has limited him a bit. Still good just not Team of the Season material.

Dembele deserves it though, whether he plays CDM or CAM, it's been impossible to cope with him for everyone he has played against. His high pressure, high tackling count and the complete inability for anyone else to get the ball off him is letting Spurs control games, it makes space for other players such as Alli, Lamela and Kane to create and it complements Dier's game.

I have put Wijnaldum as he is literally untouchable on the ball. He finds the little pockets of gaps where he exploits with the burst of acceleration which makes high pressing defenders a nightmare. I think putting him on the left have improved his game because watching him in comparison to last year where he was voted Eredivisie POTY, he looks more aggressive in his runs as he has already scored half the amount of goals to compared to last season being on the left. He doesn't have the greatest team around him but he is what makes Newcastle tick when pushing forward.
 
Sunderland 0-1 Liverpool result, Benteke with the goal, There is Football on this weekend as usual and then next weekend is the FA Cup third round....

Wenger saying earlier that January will be a busy one regarding ins and outs at Arsenal and that Elneny is just the start, Elneny isn't confirmed just yet though..

Love watching him play as he's quite reminiscent of how Robinho played in his prime. But he is totally not worth €47 million!

Berahino situation is weird. Pulis criticising him saying he is lucky to be on the bench, if I was him I would definitely seek a transfer request.

The gap between 10th and 5th is only 3 points. The race for the Europa League is on. But there are more games to be played so West Ham can fall down the pack if Stoke, Crystal Palace, Watford & Man Utd win their matches.

I think they were top 4 for months. I've been impressed with West Ham, after their humbling by Spurs they drew 5 in a row. Last season that would be 5 losses with the injuries they have suffered. Would not be surprised to see them get Europa League. It's a good thing that Bilic sacrificed Europa League this season, no way they could have qualified for it next season.:lol:

Also, Aston Villa's goal earlier was seriously good, especially for a team that can't play football.
 
I was feeling a little indifferent to the United-Swansea game for obvious reasons, both teams needed a win, its good for United I suppose but the defeat means Swansea in the relegation zone now so meh :indiff:

It's actually 3 games consecutively. ;)

After watching the highlights of the Arsenal game. We were quite lucky to have come out the game with the win as Newcastle had the better opportunities and the possession. Transfer gossip today is Arsenal are preparing for a big money move for Aubemeyang.
 
Newcastle need a PL proven goalscorer. Mitrovic and Wijnaldum both missed really good chances that I feel Charlie Austin would have scored.

Relying on a couple of kids in Mitrovic and Perez and a midfielder in Wijnaldum to get the goals is a massive risk and it backfired yesterday, they really could have won that game.
