Delighted with the signings we have made in the last few days, well done to everyone involved in particular Ed Woodward, that's three signings in four days I think I'm right in saying 👍:)

Also De Gea is travelling with the squad to the US for the pre-season tour and apparently United have said that they haven't received any bids for him, which is encouraging but that can change quite quickly..

Claudio Ranieri is the new Leicester boss...

Liverpool are supposedly looking at Reus to replace Sterling, looking at their stats on whoscored Reus performed much better than Sterling last season particularly in Europe but he is 6 years older.
 
I'm pretty sure even I did better than Sterling last season, and I don't even play the correct football code.

No, unless Rodgers is planning for when he's not there in a couple of months. Benteke would be wasted playing for a team that won't cross the ball.
 
That's a lot of pound sterling for Sterling.
 
Downing is all but confirmed to be dropping into the Championship to join Boro, he should easily get into double figures in terms of assists and possibly goals to.
 
Pre-season tournaments have began with the Barclays Asia Trophy, Everton beat Stoke on penalties after a 0-0 draw and they progress to the final where they will play Arsenal who beat a Singapore XI 4-0 with A Akprom hat-trick and a Wilshire penalty.

The International Champions Cup has began, Man United fans would remember that we won this last year and we are back in the US to defend the trophy, we play Club America, San Jose, Barcelona and PSG this year..
 
The Barcelona game is 9PM English time too. The first two are 4AM however.
 
Man United games are MUTV only though I think..
 
I did wonder if it would be broadcast anywhere. Guess I'll have to find "somewhere else" to watch it. ;)
 
I don't actually know if the games are on MUTV but they were last year and they always seem to have exclusivity to the pre-season games, the other games in the tournament are on Sky..

So I just found this out, this is pretty bizarre by Louis Van Gaal and it concerns Victor Valdes..

..Valdes originally trained with United last season as part of his recovery after his knee ligament injury and was then given an 18 month contract in January, he made his first team debut in the last few weeks of the season whilst De Gea was injured and put in some great performances with some fantastic saves, many people thought that he would be the number one once De Gea left but now Valdes has been left out of the pre-season tour of the US....and he isn't injured, I literally have no idea what is going on there and it is strange, he must have had a falling out with LVG but either way he is now being linked with teams all across Europe and United could now be without not one but two goalkeepers...

This is not the only thing I have found strange at United lately, I'm still not sure if letting Van Persie go is a good move, I know he didn't have a good time of it last season but he was injured a lot and it seems harsh to sell someone after one bad season, but that said he is getting on a bit now, we could regret that move..

Bit of an update, Van Gaal has confirmed that Valdes will be sold as he refused to play in in the reserves last season....
 
Liverpool have met the £32.5 million release clause in Christian Benteke's contract...

Delph to Man City is back on, many sources saying its a done deal and that he will wear the number 18 shirt..

Well that was a bit of a U-turn from Delph after he said he was going to stay? Maybe Liverpool trying to grab Benteke is a reason.

Bit fickle from the fans to turn on the club. Not like they can really compete. City offer a chance to compete in the UCL, for the league and of course probably triple his wages. The only thing Sherwood could have done is beg him to stay under the premise he will play every week.

You don't think other fans get upset they sell players. Man Utd sold Ronaldo and probably will do De Gea, doesn't mean they're a joke club.
 
Eh the twitter reaction will always be the worst of it. Look on the United twitter or Facebook pages after they lose a game or sell a player and you will see something similar. It's natural really.

Any time Spurs lose there is a couple of FB comments calling for Pocchitino to be sacked which is completely unreasonable IMO.

I just found the "sign Delph" tweet hilarious though. :lol:
 
Not really bothered by the whole Delph thing, I know he said a week ago that he would leave but he is at a better club with much better facilities and of course Champions League football, he will be much better off financially too and I think he can play quite a few games as he is a good enough player, good luck to him.

Man United beat Club America in the ICC 1-0 this morning with Schniederlin getting his first goal for the club, Van Gaal made 11 changes at half time so the new signings got at least 45 mins, De Gea and Valencia were missing due to minor injuries and Fellaini was rested, Roma beat Real Madrid 7-6 on penalties in the same competition, Real missing Casillas already??.

Arsenal have won the Barclays Asia Trophy having beat Everton 3-0 with goals from Walcott, Cazorla and Ozil, Cech made his debut, Stoke finished third after beat Singapore select XI 2-0 in the third place play-off.

Steven Gerrard scored on his MLS debut for LA Galaxy as the came from 2-0 down to beat San Jose 5-2.

Man United beat San Jose 3-1 in the early hours this morning, Mata Depay and Periera getting the goals with Depay and Periera getting their first goals for the club, LVG criticised Schwienstiger for his second half performance

Aren't there 3 tournaments of the ICC going on at the same time? Australia, which is the one Real Madrid just won, China, which is Inter, AC and Real Madrid (again) and North America which is the one United are playing in with 9 other teams.
 
I think it's something like that, its all a bit confusing for me..

Man United actually play Barcelona tomorrow night at 9pm and not 9am, my bad..
