Nothing big, just Ford offering a retro pack for the 2018 Mustang.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, why did Ford facelift the Mustang already? They usually wait a bit longer before doing a facelift. The S550 was only in production for 3 years.
I wonder what stuff the designer of that Mustang generation was on when he was told to design the facelift.

Limited to Mustangs equipped with the turbocharged 2.3-liter inline-four EcoBoost engine

At least it'll make it easier to identify slow Mustangs on the highway.

It doesn't surprise me tbh, Ford has done a retro package like this for the previous gen Mustang and kept it exclusive to the base model. Well, the 2005-09 one at least.

Motortrend's comparison of the Shelby GT350R and Camaro ZL1. I'm honestly surprised that the Camaro ZL1 was only a bit faster around the track than the GT350R; I thought the gap would be bigger.

Which makes me think of this line:

(Note: I'm just kidding around here.)

Digging the faux gas cap on the bullitt, fits the car much better than a badge.

How much does the upgrade cost? Jalopnik estimated $20k so with over 700 bhp shouldnt it be around the price of a Hellcat right? But like a thousand pounds lighter?

It's $21,000 + cost of the initial vehicle. This site says it's valued over $65,000.

Valued at over $65,000, the 2018 Mustang RTR Spec 3 will come with all the bells and whistles from suspension mods, upgraded tires and wheels, bad ass visuals inside and out and a big supercharger under the hood with some 700 horsepower.
So, you're right, just around what a Hellcat starts at.

Never seen the snout and intake at the same end of the supercharger before.
A small internal compression ratio is useful for performance. That means axial in-flow is best to create a sealed volume between the lobes along the length of the charger, and for packaging reasons here it seems the inlet can't really go at the back! That's where the gears must be.

These are no longer simple "blowers" :)
