20 minutes left, 110 second laps... 11 laps to go before the time limit?

I think he rather meant, that he should've known that Maldonado will be doing something stupid that will end in a collision. Didn't Button also add "He's mental" to the end of the radio conversation?
Maybe he did, but he shouldn't have. I mean, Maldonado was slow out of the corner, that isn't exactly "Mental", what's mental is a driver with his experience not judging the Lotus's speed a lot better.

Yeah but what personal cars do you know that run as much electronics as an F1 car.

There are a lot of Prii in Singapore. :D

F1 cars aren't terribly complicated from an electronics point of view. They don't have ABS, ESC, DSC, self-parking functions, variable ratio steering, alarm systems, radar-cruise control and etcetera. Certainly there's a lot of telemetry on board, but given how much data goes through the F1 car's radio systems, and how much electrical energy is involved in the ERS system, you expect all the electronic control systems to be pretty well-shielded.

Yeah I would expect both systems to be quite shielded, but I don't know I'm not very traversed in electronics or Electrical engineering so i yield.

Lewis on German television: "I felt comfortable in the car and I had the potential to win the race today"

If the Strategy worked he'd be where Nico is...if that strange guy didn't walk on the track it would have helped too. It's not as insane as you think.

I'm not an electrical engineer, myself. It's fairly possible for some electrical interference to occur at some point, but the train system's electric lines will likely be buried so far underground that they can't be what's causing it.

Another brilliant Singapore race.

Everyone always writes it off as the most boring race of the year, yet it produces a great race most years.

He might've finished in 3rd or even 2nd, but there's no way he would've beaten Vettel. Vettel is just to dominant today.

Button has to retire due to gearbox problems.

Probably the mindset of "There's no battle for the lead for the entire race, so it's automatically boring to watch".

He was actually keeping pace, and if they didn't have the long safety car period after he retired, he'd have been on pace and on a 2-stopper, with the top three on a 3-stopper... and he was staying comfortably just 4-5 seconds off Vettel. There might have been an outside chance there at a proper race.

Well from what I heard they're only saying this due to what happened to Webber years before when his car had issues and it was later attributed to the rail system.
