He'll replace Sarrazin imo. Sarrazin is one of the WRC development drivers anyway, so if one driver has to 'step aside' for a race or two, my bet is him. My bro called it a couple months back that he'd get a role. Taki Inoue on twitter was pushing for him to seek out a drive with them too! Good call.
 
Yeah had a feeling it was going to happen when he signed up with Toyota in Super Formula, guessing they where impressed when he dominated both Test sessions in his first drive of the car.
 
That's great news for Kamui. He has experience with endurance racing too, as you guys probably know, albeit in a GT car.

I think he's referring to chrome being integrated into at least half of all liveries at the minute. It's hard to work in properly and it ends up looking tacky.

Exactly. When McLaren did it, it was cool, now it's just... overdone, I guess.

Which aero package Toyota running? Guessing the high D/F one? Or have they bought two cars, one in low and another in hi-DF trim?

How are Audi going? The new hybrid system is supposed to be about 200hp more after all.

Unfortunetly, they are about 2 seconds behind and with less than half the laps of Toyota/Porsche. There is a live timing available: http://live.fiawec.com/

Audi is now supposed to have 200kW (or 272hp) electric power + 550hp from the diesel engine. And according to the FIA, there is a loss of 1 second/MJ hybrid power on normal tracks and half a second/MJ on LeMans. This means, Audi (4MJ-class) has a disadvantage of 2 seconds to Toyota (6MJ) and 4 seconds to Porsche (8MJ). There are other factors coming into play, so it should be less than this.

It sure seems that way, KCMG and Strakka with the first two positions in LMP2. The Dome is showing great promise, for its first WEC season. 👍
 
To put this in perspective: The Formula 1 drove on this track (slightly different layout) with the fastest average of 203 km/h for the whole race in 1980. The WEC drives the non-chicane version which means they drive the 1,6km long straight without chicanes. The chicanes were built for safety reasons in 1986
 
F1 raced on non chicane version as well, both the original long straight version and the shorter straight version after De Angelis' testing crash.

Sektoren:
Sektor 1: alle drei Hersteller ähnlich -> all three top teams equal
Sektor 2 (inkl. Mistral-Geraden): Porsch eine Sekunde schneller als die anderen -> Porsche 1 sec ahead of Toyota/Audi
Sektor 3: Toyota vor Audi und Porsche -> Toyota in front of Audi and Porsche

Seems like the 8MJ come to play on the 1,6km long straight (2nd sector)
 
Honestly, I think Audi and Toyota are sandbagging a bit.
