The M6 seems a strange platform to use in GT3. Given that the Z4 is performing so well in GT3, would that not be a good option to start from?

If anything I'd expect BMW to come up with a GT3 solution of the M4...

M4 would be GT4, no?

The M6 seems like a fair match to the Bentley in terms of the layout. I'd like to see the two side by side.

Z4 has loads of drag, and has no torque compared to what the TTv8 will have.

As soon as the M6 takes over...I'm abandoning BMW as a fan. The Z4 is the most evil GT3 car ever made. And the M6 is a tank...with an engine that's no where near as exciting. The only car allowed to be a tank is the Bentley (because let's face it....who ever heard of a small Bentley? ). BMW why? WHY?!

Z4 GT3 FOREVER!!!!!!!!!! :(

The new Merc' seems to be louder...and it has similar dimensions to the Z4. It'll carry on the NA V8 flag with the Callaway Corvette C7.R GT3 and the Lexus RC-F GT3...hate turbos...

The Z4 GT3 is a beautiful racecar, however... The 6 series has some good ancestry...

It's about time BMW took their big coupe racing again.

Strakka DOME will run dunlop tires from here on out this season! Michelin just didnt do so hot it seems.

Well, if anything, it's fitting. A Japanese chassis with Japanese tires, hopefully this combination can work better. Strakka did rather poorly in Spa, so maybe this time they can have a better pace.

Tiago Monteiro named in ByKolles team for LM24

How ironic you post that just after I mentioned the ByKolles (and also considering that well, I'm Portuguese myself). But sadly, I just think Tiago's talent is going to be wasted with an underdevloped LMP1 car that can barely outrun the fastest LMP2. I will cheer him on, but I'm not expecting a great result.

A 2:06 at Spa is a good deal faster than any lmp2. The car has tremendous top speed. If they can get their new aero package going the right direction, Rebellion will have a fight. Dont just assume they have no chance because their runs so far have been troubled. Things take time, just like Rebellion's new car, which trialed a new look

Well, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, because the racing world does not remain stale all the time for most teams. Perhaps after a few more races their runs will be more trouble-free, therefore giving them a better shot at fighting Rebellion. And surprising to see the R-One already getting a new look, but I guess that the car is not quite yet up to their standards...

Rebellion had to redesign the rear structure as they are moving from Toyota engines to AER units. The R-One may have been due this visual update based on last season performances alone but the redesign may have had knock-on effects. There is also the possibility it is a low-drag Le Mans spec.

I probably walked past you at some point @Flaren89 , I was in the MarcVDS garage. :p

Hmm... So it could be either the adapting process to the new AER engine, or a possible low-drag version of the car. Or both, for that matter. I guess Rebellion is indeed trying to adapt the car to the new settings...

Probably, probably. I bought the pit-lane access and shoot some photos around. Also got ALL of the postcards with ALL of the autographs of ALL 5 AF Corse teams *.*
