Predictable! How can a concept that struggles against common sense basic physics is expected to ever become a success!!
And the viper was homologated for how long?
And the viper was homologated for how long?![]()
It can vary although article says it's being increased to 3 years which would make me think it would be less than that and this year was the 4th year? With next year being the 5th?It is a 5 year period for homologation isn't it? With 7 maximum?
No idea. And the viper was homologated for how long?![]()
So it could be its last year next year then?No idea.
It's first race was 2012 in the American Le Mans Series so 5 years would mean 2017.So it could be its last year next year then?
I wouldn't expect anyone to be, pretty sure this has been known for some months now.Not surprised by that.![]()
However I am not surprised that the Nissan hater jumped right on this to make himself feel better by spouting off more drivel. In any case if you had actually read the article you would have seen:I would say if it is a different incarnation then we can class it as never returning.

"Multiple changes have been made to the car since Le Mans but the original design principles remain."
I'm pretty sure it was announced that they would not compete for the rest of 2015 and would return in 2016. So this new article is not news except for the personel changes.1: It was not official but a badly kept secret.
The original layout and overall shape of the body are the same, I wouldn't call that totally different.2: Changes can be made and you can have original designs, but the car can be totally different.
It's quite obvious really.Got to admit I fail to see the Nissan hate.

Yet you still read the posts to get your jollies off.Thought I might have been slightly off on my years.
Thought this Nissan fanboi's were being abit quiet over the latest news then I realised they're all on my ignore list![]()

All I know is the current spec GTE cars eligible to run thru 2017,Dagys was incorrect in his article. If you have something that says the Viper is no longer legal to run then let see it.So it could be its last year next year then?
Can't speak for him, but I've got nothing against the car itself. It's how Nissan/Nismo has treated the whole thing, using it more as a marketing tool than an actual racing program has left a very sour taste in my mouth. I hope that they finally decide to take it seriously, but I won't be surprised if it never shows up again either. And out of pure curiosity, honestly what do you dislike so much about the Nissan?

This news was unfortunately quite predictable, considering the record lap times we have been seeing this year. I'm sure they'll claw most of it back over the next couple of seasons, given how competitive LMP1 is at present.

...huh???!!!!Le Mans-only apparently http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/121123

Doesn't mean they wont try to get it done and have a billions waivers like the Viper.
Considering they didn't even bother with the Z4, I can't see them suddenly changing course with the M6.
Technically then I can then say that this and this are the same?
