Didn't realise it was a GTE chassis. Does BTCC with any ELMS for Prialux?

That LMP1-H grid is amazing. Pity that TOYOTA doesn't bring a 3rd car too, that would make it a 12-car fight!

Matsuda is current gt500 champion, thats an honor to have him in a car. A very fast and safe set of hands.
The slightly slower of the two GT500 champions, but a handy driver nevertheless.

I'm interested to see where those other two LM-only third car seats will go, especially with the rumours of Quintarelli and JPO being less than impressed with the testing times.

I would love @Earth to come back after his page #1 post, and say now that sportscar racing is not in a healthy state.

One question - SMP I thought were running ORECA 05's?

Last year it seems loads of people were saying both Toyota and Porsche need to enter a third car. Sad that it hasn't happened. Though Nissan will run a 3rd car straight away it seems. Porsche has got a third car, but it is only for Le Mans.

Anyone with any inside info as to why they haven't got a third car out for the full season?

That said I am happy Team ByKolles has bolstered the field.

That's what I thought, guess they felt like they could do it. I thought they'd go for the new Oreca next year for sure though.

nope, the announced some time ago that they were going to build a new car just for LMP2!

only to highest 2 cars score points for the team. they only have 3rd car so they have a better chance of having a car finishing. if they ran 3 cars for the hole season it would get expensive.

No one enters three cars for the full season, only Spa (with Le Mans setup) and Le Mans. There's no point otherwise, as per @SK8RBOI 's post.

I see. So in the long run would you say that the suggestion from me that running a third car gives you an improved chance of having a guaranteed scoring finish where you have two cars finishing a race ever time wouldn't be worth the expense because more often than not a team will finish with no DNF's.

Yea in theory, these cars are designed to drive for 24h strait so in a six hour race they should be ok.

All so if you have more cars the higher the chance that your car will be on the top of the podium, and at a race like le mans it worth the cost of running another car!

Porsche have a third car for spa and Le mans.

Toyota don't because they don't feel they need to.

Luck can go either way. For some lmp1 news, Porsche is out testing their new 919 at Bahrain. Hulkenberg got his first drive in the new car. Big difference to this year's 919 is dual exhaust!

I was listening to radio le mans. Expect all lest 4 new Nissan lmp1 drivers on the weeks end!

Is Nick Heidfeld confirmed for Rebellion this season? Otherwise I think it's likely we'll see Ordonez and Mardenborough in seats. I wouldn't be too surprised if Alex Brundle also got a seat given his performance with the Academy drivers at Le Mans last year and finishing second in LMP2 in the 2013 WEC season alongside Pla is also a good credit to his name.

Well I got two out of three right so far. I might even go three out of three, we'll see!

I'm not at all surprised that Krumm got a seat and I forgot to guess for him. It would be silly to have one of your most veteran drivers who did the development work for the car not also get a racing seat in it.

Now, they said they wanted an American pilot, but who on earth will they pick? I don't feel like any of the American GT Academy drivers have enough experience to justify them in the program. I don't believe any of them have started at Le Mans, let alone driven a P2 car for an extended amount of time.

Guys I will be going on a pit lane walk about at Silverstone on the 13th of April! Can't wait! I'm going to meet the best drivers on the world!

They have opened some of the camping, probly because of the popularity of the event! I bet they are kicking themselves that they bascily gave the tickets away, they are so cheap for a world class event!
