Porsche GTE's are about to pull another Petit Lemans, they are attempting to pass P2's!

One thing Dunlop has going for it is durability, ESM did 88 laps on 1 set of inters before the transmission blew up.

A number of rumors have made the rounds at Shanghai, including the possibility of Alex Wurz departing from Toyota to join Chip Ganassi Racing’s Ford GT program. It’s understood Stefan Muecke has already been signed, with Nicki Thiim as another possible driver for the Multimatic-run WEC program next year.

Not sure if your serious as the during qualifying they are using softs which is putting them up that then means they have less softs for the race and also tyres don't put you at the bottom of the speed traps.
If the car has to run more wing angle to match the other teams because the tires work better on the Porsche and Ferrari then that would be a issue. 99 car was the fastest GTE car in the speed trap at China BTW on the new tires.

So where were the rest of the Aston in China and also where were they in Fuji, cota and Nurburgring on the speed traps?

271.4 (99) and 266 kph at China for the 97 vs 266 kph for the 91 and 92
269.3-269.3-270 kph 99-95-97 vs 272 (91) and 270 (92) at Fuji
256.5-256.5-255.3 kph 95-99-97 vs 258.4 for 91-21 at COTA (before BOP change) on a slick track in 95 deg heat
258.8-258.3-257.1 kph 99-95-97 vs 260.0 (91)- 259.4 (92) Nurb.

So Aston Martin are handicapped and cant find the podium w/o following the crowd because they are 1-2 mph slower/or 3 mph faster than their rivals, get real. Instead of spending their time crying on twitter that the world is unfair to the company that sells 5000 cars a year WORLDWIDE go test some tires.

It's not all about tyres and why not post the speed traps of the other cars?

I guess you'll know that will just prove that Aston's are bottom of the traps compared to ALL the other teams?

AMR risk losing a lot here, as said before their FULL program is funded by customers NOT by the manufacturer, so far we have Jan pulling his car from races and also Paul looking to go else where so he can be competitive. That's 2 cars that Prodrive risk losing and a good chunk of money.

Well that's just perfect; so we lost two potentially good LMP1-E projects, which were either delayed (Strakka) or downright canceled (Greaves), but byKolles God we must have two of Colin's Money Pit to deal with next season. At this rate, we may as well drive the nail in the proverbial coffin lid for the LMP1 Essence class... On the plus side, being a Money Pit, the ByKolles can at least give this new Judd/AIM combination some money before it falls apart, much like the car itself.

Good way to win the championship be the only one in it ;)

"Shrugs"

Well, can't necessarily argue with such logic, actually. Still, I would like to see other cars fight for class honors, even if the class itself is hardly half the size of LMP2's grid, and Colin's Money Pit winning a championship even while falling apart almost every race is not exactly the most exciting of outcomes. I hope Rebellion isn't thinking of giving up on LMP1 Essence just yet... ;)

Since this pissing contest you started today is about the Pro cars and their tires I only looked at the car that has dominated since Le Mans,Porsche. 1-2,1-2,2-4,1-3 finishes seems to me to be the target to compare to.

Yep they were 1 kph slower at Nurb and COTA. Guess who was 12 kph @ Nurb and 10 kph slower COTA thru the traps than the Audi and yet won the races with ease? Last time I checked they dont award points for best trap speed.;)

And it will only get tougher when Ford shows up with it's GT prototype, maybe it time for them to step back and run the ELMS and focus on GT3 cars instead since they cant compete at the grown-ups table.

But when you include the others such as the corvette and the 458 it is still coming bottom of the speed traps and the porsche is set up for acceleration not for top speed and hardly comparible with an LMP1 car.

I'll stick with my contacts as i feel they know a fair bit more than you ;) (which btw they are starting an ELMS programme for next year if you didn't know and you can't have a "factory" GT3 car even though they are all privately owned for example the "factory" blisten car from N24 is owned by Paul White)
