BoP for one. Two, Vette won the NAEC if I remember correctly. Also even with BoP that championship overall was close but didn't favor Vette or Ferrari. So if the new C7 and 488 show any promise on the first outing they'll get nerfed, most likely cause I don't see USCC using a more balanced approach that the FIA seem to have. Especially when dealing with the mass waiver car.
BMW is starting to **** me off. :banghead: I wish IMSA would use FIA/ACO BoP for GTE (GTLM) as well.

Seems like it doesn't take much to make you mad.
Actually it takes a lot. I've just been realizing how much BMW's attitude towards the rule book is screwing up so many things lately. Like the GTLM BoP...and how they just won't make a legit GTE car and get on with it. They can't be that lazy can they? Maybe I'm just mad at IMSA's crazy logic about BoP less so than BMW.

Anyway, at least at Le Mans it'll be more equal-ish. :P

Lazy people will find the the fastest way to do something, =BMW efficiency

Not really because the ACO seems to struggle with BoP understanding as much as IMSA, like when they gave Aston a big help a couple years ago while everyone else especially Ferrari got nerfed to hell.

Corvette still managed to win this year though thankfully. :p But yeah your right, the ACO also sucks at BoP.

This increase of turbos (or I should say the introduction of them in GTE) could complicate things I feel...

The BoP seemed more consistent across the board, all for P1 where Toyota just lived in a lower dimension to the two German brands.

Don't know if it has been posted yet, but JP Montoya will be testing the Porsche 919 next month, leading to speculations that he will race Le Mans next year, making him a candidate for the Triple Crown.

Nothing is for sure at the moment. There are only limited LMP1 seats at the moment and most pro drivers want to sit in one!

Beside the fact there are pictures on here showing his seat fitment for his test run he will do later next month...

Also it's highly likely he'll have a seat, since Porsche wont get Hulkenberg next year.

That's all we need, I can't stand JPM, every time he gets into something with fenders he drives like a bull in a china shop!

Okay that's fine but what does any of this have to do with GT3 cars again? My point was Aston still gives help and Prodrive is their engineering team. Just like Joest is the engineering team for Audi. Aston factory drivers are still used. It may be a more lucrative way for Aston to go racing without having to spend as much money as Porsche or Ferrari to do it, but there is some ties even if far more limited. Which is what you seem to be pointing out. How this has anything to do with the main point "GT3 in LM series and the 24hour", is yet to be shown.

Thanks for informing us of who owns the cars and how little money Aston puts into it after the first couple cars are Homologated.
Yep Aston have stacks of money to throw around

Little money =/= stacks, I said little money. Not sure why you're dragging this out when the topic wasn't Aston finances but more so Aston giving any pro support to any degree in what should be a gentlemen group and what should be the cheaper GT3 cars. I've acknowledged more than once and even thanked you for informing me of what I and others didn't know, as I said thanks for your service but you can move on now.

Hey as long as there are no blowers under caution...everything should be fine :sly:

Hardly. He's also proven he can handle endurance racing. He's not an obvious choice, but I think he could be a good choice.

If by handle you mean bring the car home with an unpainted nose since he ripped the three painted spares Chip had for the car off at the 24 hours of Daytona a few years back then I suppose so :) When even NASCAR drivers are ripping on you for the way you drive I think it's a pretty strong hint that you have taken this whole "rubbing is racing" and "trading paint" thing a bit too far. I am a little surprised that most series would allow him in, especially in Europe.

If by handle you mean bring the car home with an unpainted nose ....

I'm sure the team would rather come home first (3 times) with an unpainted nose, than come 2nd with the original nose on! And 3 wins at a 24 hour race is more than most of the Porsche squad from this year have. His open-wheel record and multiple outright wins at 24 hour races are probably more relevant to Porsche than his experience driving stock cars on ovals too.

He does drive hard and he doesn't like to back down, but he is very quick, and that's why he's one of my favourite racers to watch. Wish there were more like him!

I was about to say a drive for JPM at Le Mans might even be enough to tempt me back to France again next year.... but.... I think I'd rather catch the action on TV

As long as Maldonado is in F1 then there is no reason to not allow JPM, kinda like the old miners canary down the mine, as long as Maldonado is in, anyone will be right,

Except People actually want Montoya. He's even repeatidly gotten offers to come back to formula 1 and turned them down. I guarantee that even in a world where sponsors dominate talent, More teams will take Montoya over Maldonaldo anyday

Exactly, plus he is a personality, I'm looking forward to seeing him in a P1 car,

I've always enjoyed watching JPM race. For better or worse, he pushes hard and is therefore exciting to watch, to me at least.

When JPM crashes, it's from pushing me too hard. Maldanado, on the other hand, manages to take himself and others out in ways that have never been seen before....like at Suzuka (can't remeber what session), when he basically forgot he was driving a car for a split second.
