Joey Gase to be sponsored by rFactor 2 (yes, you read that right) at Phoenix for the Sprint Cup Series race.

Travis Pastrana had iRacing sponsorship at one point in the K&N Pro Series.

Can we please stop with the damn title changes? It was funny the first time around in the Pepsi 400 thread but now it's getting out of hand.
I thought we were beyond that when the thread went back to being "2015 NASCAR Thread" but it seems some people just aren't mature. Judging by the title, there's a race that's been going on for days now...

 why get so hung up on the thread title? How does it affect you?
Forreal, it's not even that bad of a title change, the main point of the thread (And the title of the thread since the beginning) is still there at the beginning

The main point of the thread isn't to be a show-off buzzfeed-esque clickbait title.
Yeah, the main point is to discuss the 2015 NASCAR season, which it clearly says in the first 3 words.

Also, a buzzfead-esque title would be something like "2015 NASCAR Thread - You won't believe what video game is sponsoring the 32 this weekend!!"

Correct, the main point of the thread is NASCAR 2015....which the title still clearly says.

Seems like you have issue with someone changing something you can't control, and take issue with it just to make a fuss.

99% of the people around here are regulars. No one is falling for "click bait thread titles".

It was pretty clickbaity during the Martinsville race, when it said "GREATEST RACE EVER!", but still the 2015 NASCAR Thread was there. Now it just has a joke and a fact

It's not necessary but is it harming anyone?

Welcome to the NASCAR 2015 thread, the home of seriously serious business....I feel like I'm on the GT6 drift forums all over again
It's probably closer to the Suggestion form, where the title has to be exact or else

All I have to say on the whole title thing is this: Look at who runs the thread and compare it to other things he runs. You find a very consistent pattern. Unfortunately, it makes the thread look like a joke, but with the past few weeks, I find it matches the current state of NASCAR, so who knows. My only qualm is that it requires more scrolling through my alerts.

The pointless additions to the thread title probably do more to drive people away from the thread than it does to bring them in.
Who the hell is being driven away?

You think a person, who has any interest in NASCAR, who is browsing a Motorsport forum, wouldn't click on the only NASCAR related thread simply because the title had some "pointless additions"?

Who fits that demographic? Someone who is new to GTP, or at least new to this section, has an interest in NASCAR, but stays away from the only NASCAR thread simply because of the thread title....

Where do you find these people???

Well it's business everywhere else:

Yup, toe that line. Don't dare to do anything out of the ordinary that might upset the routine

Why is it that when I omit a few words something sounds familiar?

Why does this sound so much like the ideology the Brian France NASCAR regime likes to persue? Hmmm...

Quoted For Truth.

NASCAR fans go like this.... They stay in their NASCAR bubble, with their NASCAR friends, and don't dare to venture out. This was me a few years ago, long before joining GTP.

Then, you have NASCAR progressives, or Americans (or those which NASCAR was their first introduction to motorsport) who have looked beyond the same drama centered TV shows, and have looked elsewhere for actual racing. They may still come back and watch the occasional race and cheer for a driver no different than in any other league, but they are far more open minded to change.

That's just me, and how I view it, but for the most part, I'm pretty damn spot on.

I'd say both sides are equally afraid of change, as is human nature. Those people who are "open minded to change" are the same people who were opposed to NASCAR adding Green White Checkered finishes, or the Chase. Both of which are changes that people who you call "NASCAR progressives" said weren't real racing
