ROTY for Sprint Cup will come down between Brett Moffitt (196 pts) and Matt Dibenedetto (192). Jeb Burton is at 188, but he is not in the race.

Moffitt didn't even run the full season because he took over for Brian Vickers after Daytona, and then David Ragan.

At least next year's ROTY will have Chase Elliott competing for it.

This might be the most disturbing thing ever

What do you suppose the chances (odds?) are between Harvick, Busch, Gordon and Truex?

Normally I would put them in that order. But Homestead is unique, and in a stormy mood.

I would say the odds of winning are:
Harvick, 30%
Busch, 27%
Gordon, 23%
Truex, 20%

I have a bet with a friend of mine. I paired up Harvick and Truex, then Gordon and Busch, and let him pick which pair he wanted.

He picked Gordon and Busch, so maybe my guess is a little off. I like my chances of taking his money, even with just Harvick.

Well qualifying surprised us so I'm not ready to give Harvick the edge. That said, his chances based on his performance last year are quite higher then the others, he'll just have to start further back.

Judging from today's final practice, they all have similar pace. Gordon is in some kind of golden zone, he and his team are performing at an unexpected level. Busch was fast in the Xfinity race, but once again success eluded him at Homestead.

I believe Truex outqualifed the others, so he is definitely credible.

There's also this, not that it means much.

Final practice results for the chase drivers

#24-Gordon 9th, 36 laps
#78-Truex Jr. 10th, 38 laps
#18-Busch 17th, 47 laps
#4-Harvick 26th, 44 laps

Edit:
I believe Truex outqualifed the others, so he is definitely credible.

Nope. Kyle Busch qualified 3rd, Jeff was 5th, Truex was 11th, Harvick was 13th.

I'd like to think that with this much on the line for all 4, past results and stats can go out the window. Of course, that's just what I'd like to think. Kyle is starting ahead of everyone who matters. This is not his best track by a long shot. I hate to say it but I think Harvick has the best shot. However, I think the 18 will be on point and I guarantee he will make it hard for anyone to get around him. I think, in a way, Truex and Busch have the most to prove. I expect Truex to be strong as well. I don't want to see Harvick do that well. But think he will. I see Gordon top 10 but not out front. What the hell do I know though? My crystal ball hasn't showed up from Amazon yet.

It's been back-ordered.

My money is on either Harvick or Gordon. With the weather being a factor, both drivers can put themselves in a position where their crew chiefs can make a strategy call to possibly give them the championship, and I trust those two's crew chiefs better than Busch's or Truex's.

Ryan Blaney as well, it should be a decent battle.

I Think if the rules package was the same as this year Blaney would take it. He's shown a lot of speed that IMO Chase didn't. I can't wait to see how it unfolds though.

Think that Kahne, Johnson and Jr. will be doing all they can to make sure Jeff gets the title?

I honestly can't see Gordon winning. Not because of him, or the drivers, mainly because of his crew chief. Gustafson hasn't had the best calls on top of the box, at least that's what I've heard from other fans of his on different sites.

Truex or Busch, those are the two I'm pulling for.

Also, Bubba Wallace is savage.
