Would like to wonder what other tracks from the WEC calender PD would add to GT7 considering they essentially have half the WEC calender in the game already as it is
I mentioned earlier about the Middle East circuits now that we have one. Especially if a team were in the part of the world for a long vacation. :)
CGV being an American circuit we could see COTA arriving as well( there’s space on the map next to Northern Isle ;) ).

Imola would be cool for all type of racing. Not to mention nostalgic F1.

  • Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari (Imola)
  • Bahrain International Circuit
  • CIrcuit of the Americas
  • Lusail International Circuit

Then there’s the WEC WeatherTech Calendar.

We’ll probably never see street circuits again, but the other circuits are possible.

  • Sebring
  • Mosport
  • VIR
  • Road America

What you call "WEC WeatherTech" is IMSA Sportscar Championship, nothing to do with WEC. They just allow the same car categories (Hypercar and GT3).

What is the probability of a GT3 car (M4 GT3 or Huracan GT3 Evo 2 please) as well in this update? Seems like the video is only a preview?

Update of the le mans track would be nice as well😃
My guess is that whatever additional content the update might be hiding won’t be more Cars. So I’d say low.

What I would love and it's probably just me and a minority but... I would love to see whether Drivetrain swaps would someday make their way into GT7 or GT8.

Just a dream of mine.

I didn’t follow that much recently. Do do we can expect something else or just those 5 great cars?
Basically, there's three reasons people think there's more coming:
  1. The trailer we got for the WEC cars was an update preview, not the actual update trailer (no car names, no "Gran Turismo 7 Free Update June 2026"). Logical train of thought is that they may have done this because there's other stuff in the full update trailer that they didn't want taking the reveal spotlight away from the WEC cars.
  2. There's a State of Play on Tuesday. Meant to be a big one, too, Sony have announced it way before they usually do. Tying in with (1), if PD have something truly big (meaning Power Pack equivalent, likely something paid, not just "a new track") to announce, they'll have a spot there in which to do it.
  3. People are just always super optimistic in this pre-update part of the cadence.
Now, this ignores the very real possibility that the Occam's razor explanation is there just might not be a proper update trailer for this one. But there's more smoke than there usually is when people proclaim there might be more in the update, at least.

Has famine said, I think we have seen all the cars in this update. (Also only a limited number of updates had more than 5 cars, 3 in the last 2 1/2 years)

That being said, it was a preview, not an update trailer. We have seen a few things announced in trailers such as new wheels brands (eiger update).
- A new wheel brand (or more wheels for some brands) could be coming too..

There is also other things that could be shown in the trailer for the update such has day/night cycle for some tracks. Here are a few possibilities:
- Monza is shown in the night in the preview. Which could mean that it will be added in the update…

- CGV is another one that I’m confused about. In the opening movie we see the location going in a speed up day/night cycle. Could it be added too? Maybe…

There is always the possibility of a new track layout but I don’t think we have seen those in a trailer before… the few possibilities I’m thinking are:

- Short layout for yas Marina

- Short layout for road Atlanta

- Reverse Spa… ? 🤷‍♂️

Although they haven’t been shown in the trailers, PD have been adding circuits experience lately so I wouldn’t be surprised if they added one with this update.

To put it simply, we don’t know what will come in this update other than the cars and has always we will have to wait until the patch notes release to see every confirmed feature…

4. And Kaz still hasn't tweeted.

What if Yamauchi-san announces bigger grids at the State of Play tonight??

As most of you know, the World Endurance Championship series is raced with 30+ cars, in multi-class category.
And we once had a race with 30 cars race on GTSport at Lago Maggiore, and even tho it wasn't "multi-class" race per se, Polyphony had Gr.4 cars racing at the same time as us with Gr.3..
Which means that multi-class races are still PD's minds..

So technically it is feasible.

And starting grids with over 30 cars, including multi-class races, fit perfectly with the WEC update Kaz and Polyphony blessed us with 😁

As much as I wish it with all my heart, I'm afraid that this idea won't even cross their minds. Kaz still hasn't been able to grasp the essence of the Nürburgring 24 Hours, even though he's been and raced there several times.

With all due respect, N24 is a whole different breed in comparaison of standard WEC rounds (apart from LM which has a +60 cars grid)
The N24 has at best 150/160 cars on track!! Which I assume would be a technical nightmare for PD to implement in the game...

But it doesn't mean they won't try to extend the grid in the future (future update or GT8?), we've had enduro races on GT since the dawn of man (lookin' at you GT1 300km at Grand Valley and SS11 all night 😅)

Endurance races are an indeniable part of Gran Turismo's DNA, and Kaz always wanted the feel of a real life experience for his games.. (Rigs, GT Academy, PSVR,...etc) Having a "traffic" when you race the fastest cars (GTP/Hypercars/GT3/GT4) is what real life experience is all about ^^

Like you, I trully wish that we had extended grid for the game broski..

Having done a 24h custom race at the Nurb with Sophy (pictures), it was really fun! But from time to time it felt like I was driving alone on the track, despite me adding slower cars on the grid :\

PS : One last thing, I remember that rally event on GT6 at Sierra, we had something like roughly 70 cars on? Yes they were more like obstacles you had to drive around with the basic AI, but still it was pretty cool.

And at the N24, don't the SP9 drivers sees slower cars like obstacles they have to move around as well? hehe

I'm working on something similar, (and already did) I just need to find a wide enough time window to race it.

I'm not asking for a 150+ starting grid, even 24 cars would be an improvement in many situations. I didn't bought the Power Pack but look at what they did with N24. They didn't even try to create liveries on their cars nor dare to add few lower class cars, no heavy damages either. Sure those are cars you wouldn't compete against, but at the end of the day you only race one car that is faster than the others.

Even GT5's Nürb 24 event was better considering what opponent cars were racing, but even then they included Le Mans prototypes in it for some obscure reasons...

Sweet! Just in time for this year Le Mans! :)
Yes, I have saw this too when I watch the trailer on french TV ( I am french so ... ) 😁
Honnestly, this update will be up to date with the race 👍
I hope a special race for the weekly challenges and a online time trial or downright a Wec races/series with specificaly "Lmp1" on games 🤞
Remember, a new Power Pack was is a choice on the last Sony survey 🤔

Aren't they basically so spread out so that you only see up to two/three at maximum on screen? Same with that GT Sport mission with 30 cars on the track.

I also believe there is that trick where they disappear after you pass them, which was less intensive on the PS3 as well.
