Almost spoke too soon. Could have been a prang.

It's not that insane of thought the car has performed well at various points, it's a weak car on power tracks because of the engine. People don't like seeing the fastest car run away with it and saying good job, because they think the car is basically doing the work while the drivers sleep. You wanna blame someone for not making it interesting and giving Lewis a hard time blame Rosberg and his awful start.

It's not his fault he did his job and others didn't.
I never blamed Lewis for anything. I'd have the same opinion if Rosberg would be leading. They both don't have to face any challenges when they're in the lead. There's always something happening that seperates the two Mercs and the other teams just can't keep up with Merc.

No harm done, gave us a little action, they should leave it alone.

Vettel fancies a fastest lap.

Never said you did, clearly you didn't get my point in why you thinking less of his performance today compared to a mid tier team fighting among other mid tier teams for spots as has been seen the other 17 GP this season. Also this isn't about who is leading, I don't doubt you'd say the same about Rosberg, what it tells me when people automatically jump over Lewis or Rosberg or whoever leads from start to finish is that they think lesser of their performance or not at all.

Once again I find it hard to see why Alonso fighting for another top 10 finish the fifth time in six races should be so polarizing to that of Hamilton. Or why Sainz making his car wide to finish another top ten this season should be any more amazing, they're both good but so is doing everything right start to finish from pole.

A win that was very badly needed for Hamilton!

Doubt Rosberg would be too unhappy, but yet again no Merc battle, thanks to the start and the VSC.

A penalty for Alonso would be pretty harsh, I'd say he has more claim to the corner there than Rosberg did for a similar move in Malaysia on Kimi.

Just listen to his enthusiasm! Yee haw!

Nando making me a happy man today. :D Proper last lap that!

Congrats to Hamilton. That's now, what, 5 of 6 wins at COTA?

I missed part of the race, I could have sworn 1 of the Red Bulls was holding 2nd. What allowed Nico to get back? Pit stop for the RB?

that was Jeff Gordon by the way in the Merc Pits.

My favorite NASCAR driver because his car looked cool when I was young. He is also the only NASCAR driver I know aside from Jimmie Johnson.

@McLaren VSC gave both Mercs a cheat pit stop.

I suggest other racing suits for MERC next year. I am not interested in what thong Lewis is wearing ;)

Nice win though. Alsonso DOTD!

Shame for RAI. This was his chance to overtake Max. And then this bad luck happened to him...

Are HAM & ROS still teammates or do they have nothing to talk about?

26 points the gap, three races to go.

so a first and second for Nico gives him the WDC before the last race. Not unlikely.

Alonso gets driver of the race for me just for that "Yee-haw!"

Yeah that was a deal maker for me as well.

Someone's mic must be wide open, cause some guy on track side is yelling at people to sit down.

So the stewards weren't interested in enforcing track limits in general for driving, it's going to be rather hypocritical to then apply them to the Magnussen pass. I don't understand why they can't just apply them 100% of the time, at every track. There was a lot of fuss earlier in the season, this weekend they just didn't care, drivers could go what they want.

I tried the Alonso on Massa overtake so many times in GT5.

The photo of Lewis and Nico spraying Victoria will be captioned with a you know what meme on the interwebz isn't it?

edit: dp and Yay Gerard butler.

Gratuitous celebrity doing the podium interview...

I think starting out of the top 10 and then fighting your way into 5th and 6th place is more challenging than trying to hold on to the lead without making a mistake. Look at Alonso and Sainz Jr. they've both been on the limit the whole race, while both Mercs were at crusing mode for like the last third of the race, like always. If Lewis would've had to fight for this victory I could understand you, but for today I really don't see why he should be driver of the day.
