I think starting out of the top 10 and then fighting your way into 5th and 6th place is more challenging than trying to hold on to the lead without making a mistake. Look at Alonso and Sainz Jr. they've both been on the limit the whole race, while both Mercs were at crusing mode for like the last third of the race, like always. If Lewis would've had to fight for this victory I could understand you, but for today I really don't see why he should be driver of the day.
There's the shoe.
There's a can of Red Bull.
Just waiting for Gerard Butler to kick Danny off the stage.![]()
And what made this race so difficult for Lewis today? (we won't come to an agreement here, won't we?)I mean as I said, hell when you have 3 of those guy fall out of the top ten it makes it all the easier.
Can't wait to see "shoey" for the rest of Daniboys career.

Dull race at the front, but quite entertaining farther down.
How not to be a fan of Ricciardo is unpossible. Unpossible!
Glad to see both McLarens in the points again, even if Alonso pulled kind of a dick move to Massa.
Not to be that guy, and I see the joke (all the funnier with your name). It's impossible, the word you are looking for is impossible. Also I agree, I love that guy he's hilarious and a great driver, glad I grew attached to him in STR, and glad RB kept him.
Alonso's move was valid, Massa was slow out and Alonso was enough along side that Felipe could have given more room. Then again Felipe doesn't ever want to give more room.
Just caught that on a highlight. There's the shoe.

Seriously, eww, what the hell was that?![]()
I was referring to Gerald drinking out of a shoe. That's nasty, man.Red Hoof, it's a new brand of Red Bull, with Daniel as the spokesperson.
I'm happy i'm not the only one. There are dozens of us, dozens!I was referring to Gerald drinking out of a shoe. That's nasty, man.![]()

Verstappen was voted Driver Of The Day.... WHAT?!
Our commentator told during the race that when he was talking to the guy who monitors the votes, and where they come from, roughly 25% of all votes come from the Netherlands. And after that he called onto the Dutchies to vote for Max.
![]()
Wow the whole thing gets old, after this being what the third time for Max and this time for no reason. And then Rio getting it in Australia. This system is pretty stupid and really should just go away, it nothing more than a popularity contest. Alonso or Lewis deserved this but whatever, Netherlands.
It's a stupid system anyway. Why should we be able to vote during the race already. Open it up just before the end of the race and keep it open for, let's say 12 hours or so.
But then again, today shows how easy it is to rig the system.
Yes, and Formula-E turned that into an on-track advantageBut then again, today shows how easy it is to rig the system.
and Formula-E turned that into an on-track advantage
That sounds like something that would put the lower tier teams at a disadvantage in my opinion just because of popularity compared to the bigger teams. I don't follow Formula-E, so maybe it's not too much of an issue there, but I can't see that lasting long in F1.Two or three drivers have a one-use boost during the race when they get enough fan votes. It's the "Fan Boost".
Alonso's reaction to that ruling:Stewards decided "No further action" in the Alonso / Massa incident.
"The Stewards examined the evidence and conclude that no driver was wholly or predominately to blame for the collision."
