While I agree that the Audi is ugly, it's always a question of taste, but at the end of the day a race car has to be reliable and fast and not aesthetic.
All Audi's after upgrades end up looking wierd at least.

Are we not going to talk about how the Corvettes are underperforming? I mean compared to the Fords and Ferraris, they're just plain struggling.

Porsche and Toyota managed to make both faster and better looking cars though.

The Toyota just looks totally boring and the Porsche has the ugliest headlights I've ever seen on a LMP car, which is quite an achievement...
I'd say none of those three will ever win a beauty contest but at least Audi had the balls to try out something radically different by adding some open wheeler DNA to their aero package.

There was a last-minute adjustment to the BoP which the 'Vettes were unable to fully exploit.

What could I say, the're getting screwed in the media box and the racetrack. Atleast they are more reliable than the Fords. Maybe they'll find speed in the night and morning but its looking a bit tragic so far.

I smell Audi fanboism here.

Audi are simply a bunch of tryhards with the new R18. They made things overcomplicated and shot themselves in the foot.

Just finished my grad party, sounds like Audi is having issues, a Porsche GTE crashed, and the Corvettes seem to be on the dark side of the BoP. Shame, but oh well. Lots of racing left!

Miss ny major events other than that?

Many are saying that Ford & Ferrari built brand new cars for the future and the others are using evolutions of older chassis. Many others are saying it's only bop. Bottom line is Ford & Ferrari built faster cars and the others need to get with the program.

Apparently the #2 Porsche has the same problem as the #1.
At least that seems to be what the commentators heard over the radio.

I know how it is, as a long time tifosi I have been screwed by bop many time over the years. I have to say however, as a factory backed effort with their experience there is no excuse for not having the proper restrictors on hand. Also I never find fast cars boring!

Yeah cause every team has their hand on a CNC machine when they cross the Atlantic, with the idea at mind that they may need to make bigger restrictors after already having the smaller restrictors made and shipped from hope. Cause finding a CNC machine local and having it done a day before the race isn't at all last minute...

If anything the ACO should have rectified the issue by getting them those restrictors

I don't mean to get off topic, but I could never guess that Brad Pitt would be holding up the flag at Le mans.

What is the problem with the starting numbers on so many cars? The commentators on Eurosport Dutchyland mentioned it but aren't telling me what the actual problem is

Think how bad it would be if the Fords and Ferraris didn't get BoP'd post qualifying. It would have been like a 8 sec differential per lap. I'm upset as well but it's a long race and Corvette has proved the fastest car doesn't always win. It would have helped if Corvette had the proper .3mm air restrictor as well.
