Is NASCAR rigged? No.
Does NASCAR try to manufacture exciting racing with official and un-official tactics? Yes.

Dale Jr. is still the biggest hole in the argument for "NASCAR is rigged". If it was really rigged, he would be the one with 6 titles and a threat to win every week instead of Johnson.

Also, is it just me or do the people that make those types of videos just like to hear themselves talk? The always seem extremely long for what content they have.

The moment he bought up the yellow flags and the endless sponsors (Stuff the fans are well aware of) was the moment I knew I shouldn't take him seriously. It just went downhill when he then start saying crap about Danica getting a Pole at Daytona (which is hilarious considering everyone knows Restrictor plate tracks are crapshoots) and then talks about two of Dale's wins at Daytona being rigged (as I like to call, the "Jimmy Conspencery"). Honestly comes off as him trying to intelligently talk down to NASCAR fans as well as trying to sound like he's watched the sport for a while when he hasn't (Basically, he's doing the Anita Sarkeesian tactic).

I came by the link below quite by accident, it was on the right side of the Youtube page full of "Stand By Me" videos which I was watching. Actually, I was watching "Playing For Change" version of the song which is quite good in my opinion. At any rate, thought this was rather interesting and I'd like to see you all thought about it.

That might be one of the stupidest videos i have absolutely ever seen on youtube

I didn't watch the video but there's no way races are fixed. If they were why has Mayfield been quiet about it?

The only race that could possibly have degrees of fixness is the 2001 July Daytona race, and thats more along the lines of "everybody realizing with 3 to go that either Jr. wins or the winner gets a lot of backlash from the fans". The only people who have ever sat down and talked about fixing a race were the fine folks at MWR, and you see both what happened to them and where they are now.

And that wasn't about winning, as much as it was about making sure a teammate had every chance needed to make up two or three positions late in a race.

Of course, but that's not just NASCAR, that's pretty much everywhere.

Yeah it was just a comment on that video saying it's rigged. I didn't watch it btw. NASCAR let Harvick wreck the field to stay in the chase. I'm willing to bet if it were someone in the lower ranks he'd have to report to the garage.

Nascar.com is an awesome website lol

They just showed the Mcdowell crash from 2008 and despite it being a long while, I still find it abit...jarring. I don't know if it was the instant the car hit followed by only the sound of the car tumbling down, but its still somewhat hard to watch. Its something I wish to never hear in similar wreck.

If Junebug had an issue like Carl Long's in 2009, it would of been 20 grand and maybe 20-40 points.
Yes, NASCAR plays favorites. Yes, it's not fair. But neither is life

Unless he curses on live tv, then he gets hit with 25 point loss and multi thousand dollar fine.

It seems like Harvick may be staying with SHR next year.

Ford exec says "no doubt" Harvick will drive a Ford next season UPDATE:
Ford Performance boss Dave Pericak did not mince words when it comes to Kevin Harvick's status for 2017. "There is no doubt in my mind," Pericak said. "He will be in a Ford." Despite rumors Chevrolet would like to keep Harvick in their camp, Pericak insists the 2014 champion will drive a Ford next season. Enlisting the services of Stewart-Haas Racing is just the latest bold move made by Pericak, who took over Ford's racing arm 16 months ago. With Chevrolet having a stranglehold over half of the Sprint Cup field Pericak acknowledged it was time to even the odds. "We've always said we're here to win races," Pericak added. "We're not just here to have fun. We have to have more than just a couple bullets in the chamber every time you show up on the weekends. So we're going to strengthen all the way across the board and adding a championship caliber team like Stewart-Haas is putting more bullets in the chamber." As for the bigger picture, Pericak sees plenty of progress for the Blue Oval brigade -- from rookie Ryan Blaney's ability to get up to speed so quickly to the gains at Roush Fenway Racing and Richard Petty Motorsports.(Motorsport)(4-7-2016)
UPDATE: Kevin Harvick strongly reiterated his intentions to remain at Stewart-Haas Racing, saying Thursday "There is nothing to it" as far as the rumors he could leave over the team's move to Ford next season. "As far as I know, I thought I had a team extension that had two more years left on my contract," he said.(ESPN.com)(4-7-2016)

Granted I don't think he really has any options considering Hendrick is really the only consistently competitive Chevrolet team and they won't have an opening until 2018. The only other possibility I could see is Hendrick helping bring KHI back to life, but I don't know if Harvick wants to do the ownership thing again.

I believe that when KHI shut down he said it's something they could start up again down the road. Now I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure down the road meant full time driving days in Sprint Cup are over. Raising his son and any other possible future children is no easy job, so if they still had KHI going or got it started again now I could only imagine how stressful his and DeLana's lives would be. I don't think he'd start up KHI again just so he can drive a Chevy, plus there's the whole charter thing that sort of makes starting a Sprint Cup team not as easy as showing up and after 5 races the current owner points take effect.

The reason KHI died in the first place is so that Delana and Kevin could raise Keelan right. Until Keelan is like 10-12 don't expect them to think about KHI coming back unless Kevin retires before then.

And besides that, they always said they'd never expand to Cup. Unless somebody outright offers them half a team ala Haas, don't ever expect a KHI Cup car

Keelan wasn't even conceived when they announced the merger.;)

But I'm guessing that would be a big stumbling block for the return of KHI.

Also, in totally not shocking news, Clint Bowyer isn't happy at HScott Motorsports.

Planned to have kids, not particularly Keelan

I might be mistaken abit here, but didn't he run KHI basically the whole time he was at RCR?

Wait, how would you know that? :odd:
