It's never a good sight when a car/truck barrel roll on the pavement that many times. Glad Bell got out of it OK.
 
Thankfully that happened in the straight section and not the tri-oval, that truck would have flown into the fence.
 
Wicked flip from the #4. 13 times over. Glad to see he's alright.

Was pulling for anybody but Sauter. I dunno, I just can't root for him for some reason.

Pretty wild finish, nonetheless.

If I believed that logic for a second than maybe but there is no way there should ever be enough trucks falling apart that a caution is needed every 20 min to go clean up the parts. Its not like these guys are hauling scrap metal around with the tailgate down and a old Kenmore washer just fell out of the bed.

Listening to Vince Welch's commentary makes Mikey seem like a rocket scientist.

After watching the race Bell is lucky to only be in the hospital for observation. Those barrel rolls were nasty.

Roll cage was crushed down pretty bad on the drivers A-Pillar.

Looks like it was intact. Just the body panels being smashed in made it look worse than it actually was. Truck bodies don't sit against the rollcage like the cars do around the cockpit area.

Because NASCAR does not need a caution clock for any reason ever.

If I was NASCAR president I would:
Abolish the Chase in all divisions.

Abolish the caution clock.

Go back to the Latford points system.

Disband this stupid charter system.

Allow Cuppers to run no more than 5 races in a lower series.

Take away the GWC and have races end at their actual scheduled distance.

Allow racing back to the caution as long as an incident does not occur in traffic.

32 races for Cup schedule
30 races for Xfinity
22 races for Trucks

I would cut one race from Pocono, Michigan, Texas, and Kansas, move an Xfinity race back to Memphis and one back to LOR (Lucas Oil Raceway), and I would cut the Pocono race.

Eh, I say Trucks need a little more. And for Cup, remove Kansas, Pocono, Texas, Sonoma, and put in Darlington II, Homestead II, Road America, and Fontana (think has just one date?)
 
The Latford System is the system that was in place from 1975? to 2010.

And as far as the GWC, only in the most EXTREME of circumstances would I allow it.

As far incidents, like "debris", a spin out without damage or a car getting high in the groove and brushing the wall (there HAVE been cautions called for that before) and provided there was no traffic, I would let them race back. If there was an incident, like a wreck, or Michael McDowell's flip at Texas years back the field would be frozen. It's a gray area IMO.

And I would put the Darlington race on during the day, like it was before. And I would also put more races on network TV as well.
 
The races I remove: Richmond in the spring, a Kansas race, and the fall Charlotte race.

Also trash the Chase format and change the points system that will only give points to the top 10 finishers in a way that rewards race wins and consistently.
