Hell, no points race at Eldora for Cup. Be good to see the guy take out anger on each other at a place that would add a "fun factor" back into the series, instead of constant "need to win, good points day" stuff. I'd pay to see that.

Cue "but it would ruin the excitment/uniqueness of the truck race" comments.

An exhibition Cup race at Montreal would be awesome as well imo.

Lets face it: The lower tier series (Xfinity and to a lesser extent trucks) have always relied upon cup guys coming in to fill seats. If you kick out the cup drivers for good, kiss the other series goodbye as well. You can either have Xfinity and trucks with cup racers in them or make both divisions cease to exist. The reality is that corporations won't spend the money on unproven talent like they used to in prior years so cup drivers need to be in to ensure the sponsors stay on board most of the cars. BK himself said he has to drive some races just to ensure sponsorship for his trucks so his drivers can race.

Likewise, Dale Jr has said he's had to do the same for his Xfinity team a year or two ago. Wouldn't be a surprise if the same applied to Kyle's Truck team.

I do agree with this, having Cup drivers in the lower tier series does make sense, but when one of those guys has an obvious advantage (like Kyle Busch as of recent. I really hate dogging on this guy right now.), it kinda nullifies the entire thing, at least as far as racing to win goes.
Honestly, having truly equal cars (more extensively inspected by officials/cars built by NASCAR themselves whatever will work best) would improve the sport massively, from a driver's standpoint and a spectator standpoint, although it may hurt the sport financially.

I've always considered the XFINITY Series (which I still call the Grand National series) as a feeder series to Cup. However, despite Trucks and XFINITY being lower-level to Cup, all three Touring Series have their own identity. So these are not traditional feeder series to Cup like you would see with the likes of GP2 to Formula 1 for example. Even still, it does get monotonous seeing a driver like Kyle Busch whack everybody else and take victory. Like I said before, is Rowdy too good for Trucks and XFINITY, or not good enough for Cup? He's off the hook on the Cup side since he won a Cup championship (defending champion). Even still, congratulations to Rowdy on the win today in the XFINITY Series at Indianapolis.

Kyle Busch wins the 2016 Brickyard 400. Anyone want to call this right now? I won't, but what say you?

That's a lot of contradicting yourself.

That, and an oversea exhibition race with Sprint Cup regulars mixing it up with drivers from the Whelen Euro Series or something would be interesting.

You two are saying the same thing. I like it.

1. You wanna go there with his "championship" on here? Ok, prepare for a rain of flames.
2. honestly, I hope neither he, nor Kezza, nor Logano, or Hamlin, Kenseth, or Harvick come near victory lane. Does he have a high probability of winning any race? yes.

The 2016 Brickyard 400 is GO! Good luck to all drivers and teams in this race.

As crazy as it sounds, seeing someone three-stop this race would be amazing.

But, even if the entire race went caution free from here (unlikely), would Brad still be ahead of Kyle just by cutting one pit stop? I think Kyle looks fast enough today that he could eat away the 42 seconds he would lose by stopping once more than Brad.
